Maddison awoke to the face of his newest "enemy" .
The tension inbetween them so thick and heavy , full of unsaid feelings and anger , but most noticeably the feeling of betrayal , ever dominant in their shared silence .
Shooting awkward glances toward Maddison , Louis internally debated with his mind as to wether he should break the ice , seeing as holding council with his emotions has proven to bear terrible results .
' Can't really blame my emotions either ' , he thought to himself .
I guess I know why you're so lonely and shallow , personality wise and socially ", Maddison said in anger . The bitterness pungent in his words , Louis quickly realised how it felt to be on the receiving end of a conversation with Maddison when you were considered his enemy.
'Damn my body ! Just when he was letting me in ' , he silently thought . He knew he was lying to himself , he hadn't approached Maddison with the simple idea for friendship at first .
No.
It was simply because he saw someone to play with , another heart and body to break in his hands , he would soon realise , how familiar Maddison was to such games and he was no loser .
He was born prey , but lived in an environment that forces him to best predators and eventually after playing that game for long he became one .
The rabbit that bit and tore of muscle , he feasted on blood . He grew claws .
"Maddison you have to understand -", said loud , in hopes that starting a conversation concerning the topic in the air would somehow appease Maddison's anger .
"Well , what do you mean dear Louis ? " , Maddison bit back sarcastically.
"Please stop acting that way now if you'll just let me explain- " .
" Explain ! " , Maddison said cutting him off , " That someone whom I barely considered a friend wasn't just about to rape me in my sleep nonetheless ! " , "Is that what you mean?! " , Maddison explained anger lacing his words , tinting them with betrayal and sadness .

For him . Fear for if he wasn't awake what would've happen .
This statement did nothing but elevate Louis's guilt . Maddison was right if he hadn't had a panic attack , he would've continued his ministrations .
Louis held his head down in shame and in a gesture of repentance, asking Maddison for forgiveness. Maddison wasn't gonna buckle and forgive him , just because he lowered his head , something had ought to do long before trying to apologize , he had the guts to try explain with his head held as high as an ostrich .
Then again it could work to his advantage, if Louis had the illusion he was easy to make peace with .
Giving in to defeat , Maddison uttered the words Louis had waited with bated breath to hear ," Your forgiven. I know , I know , I'm just so hot " , he joked .
Louis chuckled and thanked him , though quite shocked at how easy he gave in to his act , he had prepared to go on his knees at some point considering Maddison's personality , but he wasn't gonna complain about it .
Maddison , as if reading his thoughts replied " It's not wrong to forgive easily , the Bible always says to forgive you neighbour " , he said as if he read the said book .

As soon as peace and order was in tow , the butler who had been hiding behind the door all throughout their conversation decided to finally make his presence known by entering the doors , carrying a simple bowl of white porridge for Maddison along with painkillers and bandages .
Maddison , now realising he didn't know anything about the person who helped him , quickly urged Louis to tell him his name , which was Pyro.
After a quick exchange of formalities between them , well , really only Maddison and Pyro . The butler left as he had duties to oversee around the manor .
Maddison ate the porridge sluggishly , as he made a mess of the bedsheets and his own night attire . Looking towards Louis , who was eating with all the grace of a zebra , the numerous etiquette lessons taken in childhood taking effect .
Maddison reasoned with himself that it's because he was wounded he couldn't eat with the same grace this his poor manners . Once done with the morning meal , Louis clapped his hands three times and in two quick minutes , the bedsheets were changed , Maddison in a new pair of pyjamas, the servants hands were quick and punctual, no lingering touches just phantom like , his shoulder was also bandaged again and the plates taken .
Maddison was not one to employ a servant considering the flat he stayed in was shared with another person , lus for him it felt like a waste of money and a huge sign of laziness, however the size of the Clearwater estate said to rival the royal palace , had the right to have many people handle it's daily upkeep.
Plus him and the other tenant loved their private space, the thought of another's hands on his things sent shivers down his spine and the other tenant .
With everything sorted and everyone comfortable, the two men looked at each other , feelings set aside . Determination burning in their eyes . Each different reasons but sharing the same ambition for the case unsolved .
With Maddison's famous words on the job , ' Now let's divulge ' , thus the case was back in track .
