In this contest I want you to make up a character. They can be from anywhere. They can be anything. The one requirement is that you put something tragic into the characters life. Whether form your own life or completely made up. If you pull it from your own life I’m sorry that you had to go through it. But it probably made you stronger for it, even if you don’t believe so. And if you pull it from your imagination then I want you to ask yourself if you’re okay and listen to the answer and ask for help if you need it.

I’m going to make this pg because I don’t know what everyone will write or if anyone will write anything. This can be a poem, it doesn’t have to be a story.

It was the bitter cold of December 27, 1980, when Airman First Class Daniel Harris first heard the call come through the radio.

"Unidentified lights… southeast perimeter… moving through the trees."

He exchanged a glance with Sergeant Thompson. They both knew the woods beyond the perimeter weren’t friendly after nightfall. But orders were orders. They grabbed their gear and headed toward the edge of Rendlesham Forest.

The fog was thick, hanging in the air like smoke after a fire. Harris clutched his flashlight tight as they pushed deeper into the woods, following the pulsing, almost rhythmic glow in the distance. It flickered red, then blue, then white — not like any aircraft or vehicle either of them had ever seen.

“Probably a crashed jet,” Thompson muttered, though his voice lacked conviction.

“No jet makes light like that,” Harris whispered.

They passed under the gnarled limbs of a bent pine when the air changed. The temperature dropped sharply, and the forest fell deathly silent. Not a bird. Not a branch creak. Only the low hum — deep and vibrating, like a machine breathing.

The light flared again. Brighter. Closer.

Then they saw it.

In the clearing ahead hovered a triangular craft, metallic and black like polished obsidian. It floated inches above the forest floor. Strange symbols — not English, not any known language — glowed along its hull. The craft pulsed with energy, each beat syncing with the strange hum.

Harris stood frozen. “Is this real?”

Thompson raised his radio. Static. He tried again. Nothing.

Suddenly, the craft shifted. Not with sound, but with motion — like space itself folded. It twisted, then straightened, as though reality didn’t apply to it.

A light extended from beneath it — not a beam, but a sphere of dazzling energy. It engulfed both men. Harris felt weightless, then heavy, then like he wasn’t in his body at all. He saw flashes — a starry sky, a massive eye, shapes that moved in unnatural ways.

When he awoke, it was morning.

Harris lay at the edge of the forest with frost on his jacket and blood from a shallow cut on his temple. Thompson was beside him, conscious but pale.

“I… I dreamed of stars,” Thompson whispered. “And a voice… said something. Like we're being watched.”

Security was already searching the forest by the time they stumbled back to base. They were debriefed, questioned, even warned — “It was just lights from a lighthouse,” they were told. “Nothing else. No craft. No contact.”

But Harris knew better. So did Thompson.

Over the next few nights, others saw it too. Lights in the forest. Beams from the sky. An officer, Lt. Colonel Myles Everett, even recorded the incident on tape — his voice betraying fear as he described the glowing object in the trees.

Then one night, it all stopped.

No more lights.

No more hum.

Just the silence of the forest.

Two weeks later, Harris received transfer papers. Thompson vanished from the base entirely. No records. No explanation.

Years passed.

Harris never forgot. He lived quietly, far from cities, avoiding technology. He filled notebooks with sketches of the craft, of the symbols, of what he’d seen. The dreams never left him. The hum would return sometimes, just before sleep. And always that phrase, echoing in his head: “You are not alone.”

Then, on a cold winter’s night much like the one in 1980, a letter arrived. No return address.

Inside was a photo.

The same triangular craft — now hovering above a forest in Canada.

And beneath it, in handwritten ink: “They’re back. Are you ready?”

The forest remembers. Some lights never fade.

I’ve been super into WWE lately so I’m curious to see who else is a fan and has their own WWE Superstar/storyline.

Here’s mine as an example. You don’t have to follow the exact format but the more info you include, the better :)

Guardian Angel: sometimes shows her wings, sometimes doesn’t. When things are unfair, or someone is in danger of serious injury from their opponent, she appears. She despises those who cheat. She also hates braggers and unfair outcomes. Rarely will she ever actually be in a match, especially a 1 vs 1, but occasionally she might be in a tag team, or a big PPV like WrestleMania or the Royal Rumble. She’ll only be in a 1v1 if she’s challenged. She doesn’t back down from challenges, but she doesn’t issue them as she doesn’t really care about winning titles, only about protecting her friends and keeping things fair.

If those closest to her (like Cody) start going down a dark/heel path, she’ll fight to bring them back to good.

Understanding the nature of addiction, recognizing triggers, and employing effective strategies can empower individuals to reclaim their health and well-being. In this guide, we will explore practical steps and resources to help you or a loved one overcome cigarette addiction and embark on a smoke-free life.

Challenges of a changed identity, What you could write about:

I think the one of the most primary emotional relevance of the books that we read for English usually has to do with growing up, and many classics even fall in the category of growing up. I want you to think, if there was technology that could reverse age you, and people either methodically used for a study (and what others would know), and the affected adults, now children temporarily didn't know, given that they had the memories of an adult. How would they feel different? Maybe they could be put in a dire situation, as children, and those kids, because of some kind of magical chemical solution, mature emotionally faster, what would that look like, and how would that effect how intelligently they figure out the solution. There must be some bad consequences to it as well, because these types of experimentation on people and new products shouldn't have been introduced because of the ethical flaws. For example, those children could understand childish concepts with greater precision and speed, but because of maturing too quickly aren't ready for the heavier adult subjects. And also, they feel insecure and urged to understand very mature and inappropriate topics unfortunately, and when they encounter some truths of the adult world they can't emotionally handle it. How would this story go?

Think of a book you've read that your really like, and change the plot with a plot twist. You can think of multiple plot twists if you want and tell me which one you think is the best.

If you look at my page, it’s pretty evident that I have a habit of starting projects that I'm probably never going to finish. It's like I get this spark of inspiration, and I dive in headfirst, only to find myself juggling multiple ideas at once. One week, I’m passionately crafting a new chapter for "The Silent Vow," filled with twists and emotional depth, and the next week, I shift gears and pour my energy into "Her Kidnapper," exploring a completely different narrative voice and style. The result? I rarely focus on just one piece for any significant amount of time, and that leads to slow releases.

This seems to be a common struggle among writers. It’s hard to maintain momentum when there are so many ideas swirling around, each demanding attention. I often find myself excited about a new plot twist or character development and want to dive into that before I’ve even finished the last story. The challenge becomes how to cultivate that initial excitement into something more sustainable.
