Aliya’s life was quiet…

‎Just like her heart.

‎She didn’t talk much anymore.

‎Sometimes she felt like he looked at her…

‎just for a second.

‎But maybe it was her imagination again?

‎“Did he see me today?”

‎“Or am I just hoping too much… again?”

‎Miss would ask her something in class.

‎Aliya would blink and come back to reality.

‎“Yes, Miss,” she’d say softly.

‎But in her diary that night, she wrote:

‎“People see my face…

‎but my heart lives in another world.

‎A world where Zayan is mine.”

‎One day, Zayan dropped his notebook.

‎It fell near Aliya’s feet.

‎She picked it up and gave it to him.

‎Their hands touched for a second.

‎He smiled and said, “Thanks.”

‎Aliya said nothing.

‎At lunch, Farah and Farhan were being silly as always.
