We’ve been at the car lot for close to two hours now. I found one car that I liked, well it’s not a car, it’s a truck. Mom said we could keep it in mind but she would rather me get an actual car and not something so big and I didn’t argue. I was grateful to be even getting a car.

After looking at every vehicle in the car lot multiple times Mom decided that I could get the truck. There aren’t many cars in this car lot and the ones that are here are junk. We don’t want to waste any more time so Mom went to find a sales person so we could buy the truck.

The truck is an old red pickup. The cab has 6 seats which is perfect for me and my friends. At least it would be when we all finally get together.

I drove my new truck home with Kenza and Alice while Mom and Dad drove their car. Alice and Kenza played with all the features trying to figure out what all it could do. I really loved it! It was a great truck and had a lot of cool things like an aux cord and an actual outlet in it.

The moment we got home I started to run upstairs to my room to call Puck. But before I even made it to the front door Dad called my name causing me to stop and turn around towards him.

“Yes Dad?” I ask. I was hoping this wasn’t going to take long so that I could call Puck, pack, and then hit the road to where Puck’s at.

“Your mother and I talked and decided that Alice could stay with you guys whenever she wants, as long as it’s the weekend.” He answers. I was shocked that they were letting me go and stay as long as I want and this just shocked me even more. I’m glad they trust me but I don’t see why. I was in a coma for two freaking years! And they don’t really know much about me.

By now all five of us are standing outside in the front lawn. Kenza and Alice are standing by me and we’re facing my parents in front of us. Mom nodded.

“YAY!!!!!!” Alice screams. “Thank you! I love you guys!” She screams again, running to hug them. They both bent down and they all shared a group hug. It looked really adorable. I turned to look at Kenza to see her smiling a cute smile and taking a picture of the three of them. She showed me the picture and it brought a smile to my face.

“You have to send that pic to me.” I whisper to Kenza. She nodded back and said that she would.

The three of them parted and mom unlocked the door for all of us. “Now you three go pack.” She says once we are inside and the the door is closed. “Make sure to take your toothbrush and enough clothes!” She yells up the stairs to Alice who had ran up the stairs the second Mom said to go pack. Kenza also went up with her.

“Us 3? Doesn’t Alice have school tomorrow?” I ask slightly confused. It would be stupid to go all the way there for a few hours and then have to come back to just go back to Puck again.

“Yes, you 3. No she doesn’t it’s like a teacher work day or something. Just have her back tomorrow with enough time to get a shower and get to bed.” She says. Now that makes more sense than making the trip three times a day.

“Thanks Mom. I’m glad you’re acting like your old self again.” I say hopeful that she doesn’t get mad over that.

“Your welcome, Honey. And I’m sorry for the way your father and I were acting. We keep forgetting that you aren’t our little boy who fell into a coma anymore. You’re a teenager now and we forget that sometimes because we missed seeing you grow into the handsome young man you are now.”

“Mom, it’s okay. I forgive you.” And I really did. She was just treating me like she did before the coma, but I’m completely different now. I know more responsibility and have lived through hard times, even if it wasn’t real, I still thought it was at the time.

“I love you, Luke. Now go pack so you can go see your friend.” She says pushing me towards the stairs. I was surprised that she called Puck my friend. Maybe thats her way of trying to show how sorry she was. I know she still thought that he wasn’t the same person as I knew before but she’s at least trying. I didn’t say anything to her about it either.

In my room Kenza was putting some stuff of hers in a pile on the bed. “Do you have a bag I could use? I don’t seem to have one.” She asks, stopping to look at me.

I get my phone and sit beside her, dialing the number. He picked up almost as soon as it started ringing. “Hello?” I quickly put the call on speaker phone.

Kenza looked like she was about to ask him about himself but he started talking again before she got the chance. “So are you guys coming...or…?” He asks, trailing off the question.
