I feel so low

Unable to cope

A blade in my left

Drugs in my right

My arm bleeds

My mind screams

Waiting for that moment

Of perfect clarity

Inhale

Hold

Exhale 

The burn enticing

Sitting in my lungs

The sharp inhale of breath

The sting of a needle

Few minutes later

Another jab

Just to feel alive

I float away

Surrounded by clouds

Twisting my thoughts

Until I crave the beatings and pain

My thoughts no longer mine

Taken over by the monster

I open my eyes

My body aches

As I just fell from the moon to the bottom of the trench

My head screams

My body dazed

My only thought 

Is when can I go again

Back to that lovely place

Where I am free and clear
