I stared at the glass wall in my way, a young version of me looked back at me with sad eyes.10Please respect copyright.PENANABiK9hMIK7H

"Why are you doing this?" he asked, in a teary, desperate voice.
"It needed to be done. They've ruled for far too long, that all ends now." I coldly answered.
He flinched at the tone in my voice.
"What would Selene think?"
"It doesn't matter, she's dead. And it's all their fault, they cursed her."
He shook his head, "The one at your side is also to blame for this generational curse. He started that rebellion against the gods and lost. So, what's going to happen to a non-god like you?"
"I won't be defeated; this empire will fall."
"Look at yourself, stained in blood of more than just your enemies. What happened to the boy that dreamed of living in a small cottage house in the woods far from people near a river? A beautiful wife cooking lunch in the afternoon, two kids playing in the yard while you hunted. Where did that boy go?"
"That dream died with her, she was supposed to be that beautiful wife making lunch, and the two kids were supposed to be ours. Now that could never happen."
"Still, she wouldn't want this."
"Don't you dare lecture me. It's easy for you to say, you didn't see her die, you didn't feel her body go cold in your arms." My voice got agitated.
"Please don't do this."
"Too late to turn back now."10Please respect copyright.PENANAVJqrrQGGYB
I placed my hand on the wall and applied pressure, then started to break.
"You're going to regret this," The breaking glass blended both our faces.
His sad, hurt, frightened eyes and my cold ones.
"Even if I do, it will be worth."
