Me and Redbeard looked at the strange map on the old stained parchment. Redbeard, scratched his head with his hook, having lost his right hand in a fight with a shark years ago. He turned to me and said, "Lanky, we must decipher this map and become rich,”. “Whatever you say master, so where to,” I asked Redbeard.

Redbeard squinted at the map with his good eye, trying to make sense of the squiggly lines and weird drawings. "Arrr, Lanky, we are heading east, to the big island with the palm trees and the buried treasure!" he declared with a grin, showing his weirdly pink tooth. I nodded excited to be on a real adventure with Redbeard, even though he needed to remember where he put things. We packed up our stuff which included a lot of extra hooks, maps, and snacks (pirates get hungry, too never forget that pirates)and set sail on the creaky old ship, which I named the “SHIP THAT’S ABOUT TO SET SAIL” I know, great name right, no need to clap, but Redbeard named it “THE SAILER” even though it’s not a great name.

As we sailed, I kept an eye out for sea monsters, just like in my mom's stories. Redbeard whistled a tune, really off-key, and told me tales of his past adventures, like the time he outsmarted a giant squid with a jar of ink, rubber duck, and a slice of pizza, even though that’s so not true I nodded since he was my master/captain. After a few days of sailing, we finally spotted the island. It was just like the map showed us, with beaches and a whole lot of coconut trees swaying in the breeze. "Lanky, grab the shovels! We be digging for treasure!" Redbeard shouted, jumping onto the sand with a thud.

We dug and dug, but got delayed when a coconut fell on Redbeard’s head and he passed out. I was starting to think maybe the map was just an old prank when suddenly, my shovel hit something hard. "At last! We found it!" Redbeard exclaimed, pulling out a chest covered in barnacles and seaweed.

With shaking hands, I opened the chest, and there it was, a whole lot of gold coins, jewels, and even a shiny new hook for Redbeard. We happily danced around the treasure, laughing and shouting, knowing we'd be rich forever. Except… that’s when Black Beard and his students came out. He was one of our greatest enemies back then. We drew our swords and we fought, well that is until a whole lot of coconuts fell on him and his students. We were super lucky that day. After that, we sprinted back to the ship with the treasure, “GRRRR,” something around us said. “ Three black Eyes what in the name of pirates was that sound,” I said. When I looked behind me a lion pounced on me, but of course it was my pet! Finally, we set sail back to our cabin with the treasure. And that’s the story of how Redbeard and I found the treasure one lucky day!!!
