The story starts with the Goenka family arriving at their new house. They find everything normal. The next evening, they host a housewarming party. Paakhi, who had been studying in the UK, comes to surprise her family. As she enters the house and has a weird feeling. She makes surprise entry with a dance. After the party, she goes to her new room. When she opens the drawer, she finds an old diary of a girl named Nitya whose family lived in the same house a few years ago, but moved out after Nitya’s death.
During the night, Pankhuri (Paakhi’s younger sister) goes to the kitchen to get water. She senses someone following her and screams after the person scares her. Paakhi wakes up and consoles her. She says that there is definitely something wrong with the house. In the morning, Paakhi notices some scratch marks on the wall, after which she decides to phone her friend, Yash, who is ghost catcher.
When Yash arrives, Paakhi tells him about all that has happened. She also gives him Nitya’s diary. Parth, Paakhi’s brother, get nervous upon hearing Nitya’s name. Yash reads the last page of Nitya’s diary and learns that she was raped by a group of boys and then decided to commit suicide. Yash sees someone running towards Parth’s room. It is a girl wearing a sari. He goes to Paakhi’s room and is alarmed when he does not find her. Just as Yash turns to leave, Paakhi enters saying she went to get water. Yash tells the Goenkas Nitya’s story. Whilst listening, Parth gets scared.
Yash says that it is possible that Nitya’s soul is still lurking around the house wanting to get revenge. He says that she might leave if her death is avenged and that they should try to get her rapists punished. Parths gets up in anger saying that they should not believe Yash’s nonsense and that ghosts don’t exist. He walks away leaving the family wondering about his strange behavior. Parth goes to meet his friends, Raj,Veer and Kunal. It is revealed that they raped Nitya.
Parth’s friends laugh at him for his fear of ghosts however worry at the fear of getting caught. They suggest that Parth get rid of Nitya’s ghost on his own so that the family would no longer worry about punishing them. Yash hosts a prayer to try to communicate with Nitya. The family is shocked when Nitya starts talking from Paakhi’s body revealing that she had possessed her the day she first came. She reveals that she has come for revenge. Just as she is about to reveal the name of the rapists, she falls unconscious.
The family decide not to tell anything to Paakhi. Veer suggests that if Parth kills Paakhi, then Nitya would leave. At first, he is against this idea, but his fear gets the best of him. Parth,Raj,Veer and Kunal try to kill Paakhi. Nitya enters Paakhi’s body just as Paakhi is about to die. Nitya stops them with the help of Yash and gets them arrested. Nitya thanks Yash and says that it is time for her to leave. He requests her to stay because if she leaves Paakhi would die. Nitya says that Paakhi’s soul has already left Earth and it would be her choice to return or not.
Nitya’s soul exits Paakhi’s body and goes to the netherworld. Yash cries next to Paakhi’s lifeless body and professes his love to her. Meanwhile Paakhi is confused what to choose but decides to live after hearing Yash’s words. Yash and the family and delighted when Paakhi regains consciousness ending the show on a happy note.
