War torn, former war zone

Bloody highlights on cracked concrete

Summer rain mixed with winter sleet

Hurricane winds shatter the glass

Around my heart

Ripping the soft flesh to bleeding

Shreds and shards

The moon melts away but it always grows back

The stars never stray from their original path

Temporary battles that we fight and we lose

Are nothing compared to the events of the universe

November vineyards

Or are they graveyards

Their purpose is gone with their fruit

Empty shrouds that once had use
