Smile over me

A sorrow seethes with crashing waves to make the heart ‘come worn

But in that sea’s a place of peace to bring calm to the storm

An island of serenity that gives some space to stand

I’ll lead you there, with all my soul, to the soothing sands

-

We’ll walk on hand in hand

I swear I’ll never leave

A smile will come at last

You’ll shine it over me

A sweeter sky can make the world to seem a better place

Horizon, far, holding the sun that shines upon your face

Clearing away the fog within your head so overcast

To make a place for blue to grow until the grey has passed

You’ll shine it over me

We’ll walk on hand in hand

I swear I’ll never leave

Above the clouds we’ll make our rest, until the end of night

At dawn we’ll reach into our chests to show the inner light

It radiates to one another – heart to heart, aglow

A signal shared without a stutter lets we lovers know

Our love can only grow

Neither of us will leave

A smile beats all woe

So shine one over me
