I hate this stupid room. The whitewashed walls, the pictures of smiling cartoons and animals that were plastered on the walls, the window overlooking a concrete wall (Great view, I know), everything. It was as if a little kid was going to live here forever, and that every teenage girl would love to live here. It was a room to get the depressed happy again, I think. The problem is, I'm not depressed. Yet.

The door gently creaked open behind me. "Go away, Eddie. I need to be alone before I get depressed in here."

It shocked me when I heard a squeak of a voice. "It's not Eddie. It's um Melanie." The girl started. I vaguely remember her from the Torture Chamber, AKA Caring Session. "I sat next to you at CS today. I just needed someone to talk to and you seemed pretty normal so..."

I turned around, already bored. "Talk." I said nonchalantly. At least it was someone to talk to than the concrete wall outside or a stoic guard. Honest to God, it's the guards that should be put in here; they have zero emotions.

Melanie sighed as if what she was about to say was hard for her to admit. "I'm not depressed anymore. Can you help me figure out a way to tell the hospital?"

Now, I sighed. I thought I had stumbled into someone to talk to. Guess not considering she wanted to leave.

A guard sauntered by my room but stopped as he saw the two of us together. "Why aren't you guys acting all crazy?" He asked us.

He must be new.

"That's kind of a rude question, isn't it?" I forced him to squirm. "And I was brought here falsely. She's here for depression but she's over it." Melanie nodded in approval next to me.

The guard seemed confused. "Falsely brought here?" He questioned. I laughed.

"Yeah. I don't have any mental problems. Just a missing leg. I'm not too bad." I shuddered as I thought of the incident that took my leg and the life of my younger brother, Mike. I shed one tear for the loss of my brother.

God I hope no one noticed.

"That's awful." The guard commented. "I can't imagine being stuck in here falsely. That's just horrible. What's your name? I'll send a letter to see if can get you out."

"I suppose so." I sighed as I sprawled myself out on the bed."And Dillan, Dillan Crazie-Don't comment on my last name."

"Come with me!" He ordered at us.
689Please respect copyright.PENANAYT7fFAFdJS
Melanie easily followed but, I had a few problems in that department. "Come on!" He is called as he started down the hallway.

"I can't!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. It's not easy to walk with one leg, trust me. I dove for my prosthetic leg at the exact time they stared to shoot repetitive bullets. The window shattered instantly. I dove again, this time aiming for the window to duck under. The guards should be here soon. Actually, on that topic, where the heck are the guards?

My prayers were answered as several guards burst in.

"Ma'am, are you okay?" One of them asked as they looked at me.

"Dude, she doesn't talk, remember?"Another guard asked

I honestly laughed at this one. "That's my sister, you idiot. Help me out of here, I can't get up." I swear they got even more idiotic at this very moment.
689Please respect copyright.PENANAL7q4UWkyDM
"How come you can't get up?" One of them asks.
689Please respect copyright.PENANAjDZYD0EqjB
I take a deep breath. "Because I have no leg, you freaking idiot."

He glances down at my prosthetic leg beside me and puts the pieces together. "Ohhhhh"
689Please respect copyright.PENANArzExlafSVm
No really, Sherlock.
689Please respect copyright.PENANABpV8HRuZka
None of the guards try to get me. They're all too scared. Guess I'll have to drag myself to safety. Again.

I pushed myself off the wall and continued to slither through the room whilst holding my leg in my arm. I made it to the doorway before the shots came firing in again.

Then I remembered.

Eddie.
