You don’t believe, of course you don’t

But you can’t force me to go on

I will persist at telling our story

The truth that beats within your mythology

You won’t hear me, of course you won’t

But in the depths the death lives on

I’ll use my blood to paint this graffiti

A secret life beyond your biology

No matter how much it makes me bleed

I’ll nourish the embers, nourish the embers

Until my gods are truly freed

I will keep loving I will keep hating

I will keep knowing and keep on believing

Until the truth is known by all

Until my gods can stand up tall

It’s a penance, not a quest

Until this curse-struck world is blessed

I can’t explain, of course I can’t

But you cannot stop my attempt

I’ll scream until the brightness consumes me

I’ll hold to faith of reaching equality

I’m only one, a single ant

And you’re a desert full of sand

You scream so that the people will not see

I’ll lug this weight, this responsibility

———

And yet maybe

Somebody will hear me

May the Global North be destroyed

And hopefully

The wretched come rising
