I don't know if by mere breathing in it can already be considered as surviving.
The four walls of the patisserie is different today, there's no noisy costumers and I am not panicking going back and forth with the heavy orders, with that I can read a book peacefully.
Since eight am I was here general cleaning the place and now it is twelve noon in the afternoon.
I took my short break by re-reading the book I bought last month that was entitled "Saudade".
Actually, It's the nth time that I am re-reading it and I can't get enough with the story especially with the male character Chrono Xiun.
How I wish he exists.

My Aunt Quer decided that the shop will only be opening this morning since she's planning for its renovation in the afternoon, I wonder how would it look at the end. Knowing my aunt, every detail matters.
I removed my apron and placed it on the cabinet for the mean time and locked the doors, flipping the "come in, we're open" sign at the glass door with "closed".
I can feel my back and shoulders aching with pain. Avery and I will be hanging out this sunday, it's a tiring day and I just want rest more than anything else (except for Chrono of course) but my lunatic friend here insisted my company.
I know she wanted to escape their mansion especially her horrible grandmother by going out so here I am now, dragging my own feet by the train station with my tired body.

It's been two hours since I arrived at the train station, my butt is heating up because of hours of sitting, so does my head. I left out a heavy breath, Avery is still not yet arriving. Where could she possibly be?
Out of nowhere, I felt something or someone occupied the space left in the bench that I was sitting in.
I'm too shy to give that person a quick glance but my body moved a little to give that person some privacy of his or her own.
As I move I felt someone held my hand that made me stunned and shiver a lot.

"Interesting spirit..." The voice was almost dry yet sweet. I hardly heard what it said.

I look at my side to see a very old woman. She looks too old that I can't hardly imagine what already her age is, wrinkles and other signs of oldness wrapped her body. "Excuse me, Ma'am?" I tried to sound politely as I can even though my heart is pounding in nervousness.
Our gaze met when she looked at me directly, I don't want to freak out as possible because It may seem to look rude but I can't refrain myself to do so.

What is she talking about?
At first I was hesitant to hand her my glasses but something in me forced to agree with her request.
For a quick moment, I experienced a DeJavu.
She set aside my glasses and stared my eyes once again. I can't tell if she's amaze or what is her expression. "Even your eyes speaks how much you long and yearn. Innocent sparkles"
Suddenly, her face frowned maybe she's reminiscing something sad, but why in front of me? And why while staring at me?

I gasped for air as my body stood up. My hand is grasping my chest and my lungs are filled with heavy deep breaths. I was catching my breath so much.
"W-what happened?" I finally spoke still breathing heavily to Avery who at last decided to show up. She was holding both of my shoulders.
She scratched the back of her head while smiling "Turns out you fell asleep here. Sorry to keep you waiting Lulu hehe"
Instead of answering her, I just left out a heavy breath. What else can I do?
I stood up and fix myself. Oh right! I almost forgot
"Where's the old woman here?" I asked finding the woman I spoke with earlier with my sight. "Have you seen her?"

Last time, she had blue as a color of her hair but now it is turned into black like the natural one that she originally have. Her grandma is a strict elegant woman, rumors said Gorchétte clan have royal blood and that's the reason why they want Avery to act like one.
Avery for me is great as an individual, she may not act in sophistication or walk elegantly but she has a great heart. Not to mention, her weird passion for magic. I haven't met any magician in my life until I met her. Usually, I can only see magician on tv especially on tv commercials of brand of soap.

"Huh? Lulu is that you?" She said creeping out. People started to look as they pass by us. They look curious, mostly with faces freaking out.

Her lips curved to smile "Here goes nothing" then suddenly thick volume of sprayed glitters in the air that surely will catch your attention, it sparkled the space and dropped like from a fountain of glitters on the ground. As if Avery was summoned by a wizard from another dimension "In your world natural belongs but today, you are lucky to be in my world!"
I stand at her side watching her closely, I feel embarrassed for the eyes looking at us. People are just passing by but managed to look around for her.
Her hands are quick to pull a cape in her bag. She covered half of her face with her cape. "Alakazaam! You there lady!" She pointed out a woman at her 20's out of the crowd.
The woman seems to be in shock and confused of Avery. My best friend pulled her hand and closer.

With a proud face, best friend just shrugged her shoulders and simply said "Magic".
The people with the woman gave her around of applause and so did I. I got to admit, she was really impressive considering it's an impromptu act.
Avery did some following acts that was better than the first one. She gathered a lot of people more than I imagined that praised her skills and was very entertained by her satisfying street magic show.

I looked at the bookmark she was pertaining about and she's right, It was similar to Saudade.
The fallen angel who is Chrono from the book's cover is in this piece of bookmark. I have no idea how did it had a bookmark. Just seeing a picture of him makes my heart livelier than it is, I never felt this way in my life until I read the book.
Half of his body was laying on the clouds with roses in his heart while the lower part was hands reaching out for him from hell. The bookmark was like a black and white aesthetic with a touch of blue glitters and it had a smooth ribbon on top. At the middle part it was written with word "Saudade".He looks so handsome like the one in my imagination. I wonder when can I see the illustration of the girl that he fell in love with in story.
Without having any second thoughts, I purchased the Saudade bookmark and Avery purchased a bunch of it, mostly the ones full of glitters.
As we go for a fast-food chain for dinner, we had a little chat about everything mostly about this semester.
