I don’t know what to say,

When all I do is stutter.

I try to talk, but in the end I pay,

So I just look down and mutter.

If I could talk,

I would say all the forgotten words in my mind.

I would say that I love your smile,

Or that I know what your favorite flower is.

A yellow rose, because it reminds you of your childhood dreams.

I would tell you that I can’t wait to see you again,

Maybe I’d even tell you that I’ve fallen the slightest bit in love with you.

No, that’s a lie.

I’m head over heels for you.

Every beat of my heart longs to sync to yours,

I want to hold your hand and tell jokes just to see that smile alight your lips.

Alas, I can’t.

Cause all I do is stutter,

So I just look down and mutter.
