It was Halloween in 3rd grade. Our homework was to create a scary, disgusting, and/or wacky Halloween story and create a shoe box diorama. Then at the end of our Halloween party, we'd share our story and the diorama to the entire class. 561Please respect copyright.PENANAKeyAbh17bx
My story ended up being about a large spider who throws up on everyone. Later in the story, two people with pumpkin heads asked the spider why he kept throwing up on people. That's all I remember. Even though my story was pretty disgusting, I enjoyed writing it, because of how creative we were allowed to be.561Please respect copyright.PENANAtrfLeO03gY
A teacher assistant read everyone's stories, and when she read mine, she laughed out loud. I liked making people laugh.561Please respect copyright.PENANAnHKjlp2BO8
Now, I didn't know we were supposed to present the story at the end. I dreaded it, because, well, my story was about spider vomit. So instead of toughening up and just doing the presentation, I asked to go to the bathroom and hid in the back so the teacher wouldn't call on me. To my surprise, she never did. So everyone else shared their Halloween stories but me.561Please respect copyright.PENANAdL3SvuhP5W
Yes, I kind of regret it. :')
But ever since then, I really enjoyed writing. That was the beginning of my writing journey.

I started writing poetry in the same grade too. We learned about haikus in third grade, and I wrote mine on a lonely snowman. 561Please respect copyright.PENANAeFR7z8Pai9
