Jake watched her run away to catch up with her friends and looked down at the corpses before him. Then he looked at his right hand.
He touched her. He finally got to touch her, and what made things better was the fact that he got to talk to her despite not maintaining eye contact with her. A smile slowly emerged on his face, and despite the paramedics hauling away the two corpses and checking on the victim found tied up in the room, he quickly left his things behind and ran back to his apartment in happiness. Slamming the door behind him, his chest heaved with excitement, and he looked at his right hand again in disbelief.
'I touched her!' he thought to himself. 'After all this time! After all this time, I finally touched her! I even talked to her for the first time in years!'
Still brimming with excitement, he rushed to his room and grabbed his pen to write in his journal, but he stopped short.
'What the hell am I doing?' The pen in his hand clattered as he dropped it abruptly, and he rushed to get changed. 'I am an idiot! I am an idiot! An idiot! An idiot! I shouldn't be here! I should be protecting her!'
He finally got dressed in his assassin attire, which consisted of a black sleeveless shirt, tight black jeans, and a pair of black sneakers. He immediately adorned himself with a set of knives, his phone, and a digital camera.
'After what happened in the cooking club, I can't let her out of my sight!' he thought as he quickly ran out of his apartment and down the street to the police station. 'She could be in danger and I won't be there to take care of her!'
Fortunately, he got to the police station, and she was still there with her friends, talking about Caroline spending the night in the police station. He gritted his teeth at Aubrey's childish behaviour of stamping her foot and rolled his eyes at Emma's concern for her friend, but he was grateful none of them followed Emma on her way home.
"Her friends are so pathetic!" he muttered as he walked behind her. "You were traumatised and none of them bothered to walk you home! How pathetic! Yet they call themselves your friends! They are all stupid! Stupid and..."
Then he stopped and quickly walked into a shop next to him. Through the window, he watched Emma look behind her with a mix of concern and confusion on her face before walking away. He heaved a sigh of relief and quickly left to follow her.
'That was close! She almost saw me!' Irritation gnawed at him. 'All this hiding around is ridiculous! We will get nowhere in knowing each other at this rate!'
He followed her until she reached her apartment building, hid and quickly took pictures of her with his digital camera, looking around with fear before slipping into her apartment.
'We can't keep doing this Beloved,' he whispered. 'We can't keep meeting like this. We need to talk, but how?'
The question pondered him as he continued to watch the building until he saw her walk out. Curious, he followed her, taking the familiar path that led to the school and took a picture of her staring at the building. Through his camera, he saw the curiosity and worry in her eyes, and a shiver went up his spine.
'Now is the chance I have to talk to her!' he thought with excitement but when he looked up from his device, she was walking away. 'No! No! No! No! Don't go! Please don't go!'
Emma heard the footsteps coming closer and, without looking back, she quickened her pace. Although he was tempted to grab her and initiate a conversation, Jake decided to count his loss and follow her until she got to her apartment. The door slammed shut, and he could hear a click signalling she locked the door. He heaved a sigh of relief, sent her a message and continued to look at the building.
Then his phone pinged with a notification, but when he looked at it, he was met with a picture of him following her with a text which said, 'You are good, but you have to be careful next time.'
'Who the hell?' he thought, gripping the device tighter. 'Who are you?'

'I talked to you again! I can't believe it! The conversation we had in the hospital on May 12th will forever be the best thing that has ever happened to me!
It's a shame I had to lie to you. I didn't want to tell you that I am an assassin who kills people for money...'
He paused for a while, and his smile widened.
'And fun. I also kill people for fun. I can't help it. Everything in my life is brighter now that you are here with me. 455Please respect copyright.PENANAB0Tg0SYb9R
The real reason why I had to go to the hospital that day is that I had to get rid of a bullet I got during my last mission. Thanks to an imbecile called Leo. He is always jealous of me, and he tried to kill me, but I made sure he escaped with a parting gift from me. It's a good thing he doesn't know about you because if he did...'
Then his phone rang, interrupting his journaling and when he looked at it, his eyebrows furrowed into a glare at the unknown number so he decided to ignore it. However, whoever it was called repeatedly until he answered it.
"What?" he snapped.
"Jake darling," the flirtatious voice cooed. "I haven't seen you for a while. How are you?"
The hair on his body stood on end when he heard her voice, and a hand passed over his face in rage. 'Fuck! I forgot all about her!'
"You have missed more than three weeks of our therapy sessions," her professional tone added to her flirtatious one. "When are you coming? I miss you."
Then, like someone struck by lightning, Jake's hand flew over his mouth, and he quickly rushed to the bathroom where he threw up in the toilet. The voice on the phone, lying on the floor continued to call his name until the call ended. Exhausted, Jake looked up with tears in his eyes and cried loudly as the thought of his Beloved finding out about his carnal relationship with his therapist haunted him. He sat on the tiled floor crying, and a dark thought slowly crept inside him.
'What if I killed her instead?'
Then his phone beeped with a voicemail from an unknown number. Confused, he studied the number and slowly realised that it wasn't one of his many clients. His suspicion grew, so he played the voicemail and his eyes grew wide at the sound of another familiar voice.
"Hello? Doctor are you in? Yes...Yes I will be there. Same time? Good...I will see you soon."
It was Emma's voice and he played the recording again until another text appeared.
'This is free. Don't get used to it!'

'I hate hospitals. The smell of the sterilised halls brings back terrible memories of my days in the hellhole my parents sent me to years ago. We sustained ghastly injuries thanks to the gruelling training we received to prepare for the Third World War. The doctor at the 'infirmary' would pour a strong antiseptic on our open injuries and send us on our way. The memory of the smell reminded me of the blood and chemicals which sickened. I guess that's what I get for having a strong nose.
When I learned you were going to the hospital, I was both worried and excited. If you were sick, I can finally have you to myself, and pamper you as much as want! Unfortunately, you were only there to get checked for breast cancer. I talked to one of the nurses who was sceptical of me at first until I told her I was a distant cousin. She told me you come to the hospital every month to get yourself checked by the doctor because you were paranoid of getting breast cancer because of how big your breasts were, and I also learned that it had been a growing paranoia you've had for three years. Although relieved that you were in good health, I was slightly disappointed because I couldn't spoil you as planned. The thought of you wrapped up in bed in my blankets in my arms excited me and now it's gone...'
Then he stopped short and looked out the window in silent frustration. Fed up, he dropped his pen, picked up his jacket, and stormed out of the apartment. Soon, he found himself standing in front of Emma's apartment building in silent anticipation and fear.
'What am I going to tell her? What am I going to tell her? What am I going to tell her?' were the thoughts running through his mind as he walked up the steps. He silently calmed himself down and knocked on the door.
A middle-aged skinny woman with heavy make-up, dyed red hair wearing an oversized pink nightgown, and smoking a cigarette opened the door and frowned at him. "What do you want?"
Jake gulped. "Is Emma here?"
"No. She went out to see her friends," the woman rudely replied while taking a drag of the cigarette and blowing the smoke in his face. "Who are you and what do you want?"
"I'm her boyfriend."
This made the woman do a double-take at the boy in front of her; tall, physically built with long black messy hair, bags under his eyes, and pale skin. She narrowed her eyes at him and leaned forward.
"Are you sure that you are her boyfriend?" she asked, her teeth digging into her cigarette. "Prove it!"
Unsure of what to do, Jake wondered if he should show her pictures of his Beloved until he had an idea. Wearing a smirk, he dug into his pockets and took out a roll of money.
The middle-aged woman's eyes glowed when she saw the money, snatched it from his hand, and counted the money.
'Four hundred yen!' she thought, staring at the money, then at the boy who was grinning at her. 'Who is this kid?'
"I can buy you a pack of beer if you want?" Jake added, and his grin grew wider as she smiled excitedly.
Hearing this, her suspicion was replaced with a sense of excitement, and she hugged him. "Ah! Anyone who would give me four hundred yen is already my son-in-law!" she squealed, opening the door wider. "Well, don't just stand there! Come in! Come in! I hope you have more money to give me!"
Fortunately for her, he did.

'Now, where was I...
I went to Beloved's apartment and didn't like what I saw. It wasn't too filthy with the awful of cigarettes, beer, and instant noodles in the air. Your Aunt dared to say the mess was your fault because you were 'too busy with school to clean up the place'. Yet she stays home and does nothing but smoke cigarettes, drink beer, and go to her part-time job every day.
Well, I helped you clean up the place and decided to buy her enough beer to leave you alone, and added extra money to tell her to keep my visit a secret. I wanted to go, but I couldn't stand the thought of you being alone with that woman, so I stayed in your room to make sure you were back home. As I watched you study, I got a message from the same number as before, accusing me of being a stalker.
I'm not a stalker. A stalker is someone who harasses or persecutes someone with unwanted and obsessive attention. I'm not harassing or persecuting you. I am protecting you.
I am sitting next to you watching you sleep; your chest rises and falls in rhythm with your breathing means you are having a pleasant sleep. I love watching you sleep, but it gets boring after three hours, so I am writing in my journal to pass the time.'
Emma stirred in her sleep, causing Jake to turn to her. He watched her turn to his side and smiled when she grinned in her sleep. Then slightly opened her mouth, letting a drop of saliva fall from the corner of her mouth. With something bubbling inside him, he closed his journal and reached out to scoop some saliva into his mouth.
'So this is what you taste like,' he purred while savouring the taste on his tongue. 'It feels so good!'
Emma stirred again, smiled and gave a mischievous chuckle that excited him, but his thoughts quickly turned to the person sending him the threatening messages. Picking up his phone, he scrolled through the information he got from his phone:455Please respect copyright.PENANAvv2A3XWbr3

Additional information: Rumours have it that she made a deal with a mysterious person to kill her sister and her parents, making her an orphan, but there is no information about that.
'She told me she was going to help us be together in exchange for killing Caroline, a girl who is part of your friend group, but I refused her offer,' he thought, looking back at Emma with a smile on his face. 'I am well on my way in making sure we stay together, Beloved. We don't need her, but I promise to dispose of her before she escalates things.
Three days later...
Sitting on a bench in the school garden, Alice crossed her feet while loudly listening to music from her phone. Soon, a group of girls sat next to her and started complimenting her taste in music. Alice smiled and said nothing while the girls continued talking to her until one of them looked back and whispered something in her ear.
"Someone is watching you," she whispered out loud.
Alice looked back and smiled broadly before clicking her teeth. "I am going to the bathroom. Keep my spot warm for me, okay?'
The girls looked back at her with concern but nodded. Alice winked and walked towards the girls' bathroom. Jake followed her and watched her walk around the back of the building instead, and lean on the wall, humming a tune.
"I underestimated you Yandere kun." she said when he arrived.
"What did you call me?" Jake snarled.
Alice scoffed and turned to fully face him with a cocky smirk on her face, showing the fact that she wasn't surprised to see the serious look.
"Aww, you really take the fun out of your character," she chuckled, putting her fist on her hips. "Where is the crazy smile you guys always wear when you want to kill someone? Did you misplace it or something? Or do you show it when you see your Beloved with someone better than you?"
'Oh, so she wants a smile huh?' Jake thought as a sadistic smile appeared on his face as he took out his haunting knife, the blade glistening in the sun. 'I'll give you a smile.'
"There it is," she cooed, brandishing her baseball bat. "Let's get this party started!"
Before Jake could react, Alice charged at him and swung the bat in his direction. He dodged her precise swings and swung a kick at her head, knocking her off balance and swiped her knife at her abdomen but she quickly moved away.
"Pathetic! Is this how you kill your victims?" she taunted swinging the bat at his head but missed. "Come on! Show it to me! Show me what you have!"
Unbeknownst to her, Jake was only assessing her strategy and realised it was repetitive. So he quickly changed the position of his knife, and with one strike, he slashed at her throat when he saw the opportunity. Within the blink of an eye, the knife's blade came in contact with her chest and face, creating a huge scar, and before she could recover from the shock, he plunged the knife into the side of her head.
"Do you like me now?" he whispered in a sadistic tone. To his shock, Alice smiled back and swung her bat at his ribcage. Doubling over in pain, he looked up to see her laughing widely.
"You really impressed me Yandere kun," she cheered, pulling the knife out of her head and examining it. "But it's not good enough."
Before his very eyes, he watched her stab herself in the abdomen and drag the knife across it, creating a huge incision. However, what shocked him was how fast the injuries closed up; tissue by tissue, flesh by flesh, despite the huge amount of blood staining her hair and her uniform. With the setting sun behind them, everything seemed like a fever dream to him until the blade was aimed at his neck.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Alice, and I have the ability to heal myself and clean up crime scenes. That's why the cops don't know anything about our 'club activities'." she whispered with a chuckle. "I guess you figured out I was the one who sent you those messages."
Jake stared at her until he frowned. "You knew I was going to kill you?"
Alice laughed. "You were predictable. All yanderes are predictable unless they go off script or double down on their character. So far, you have disappointed me."
Suddenly, Jake snatched the knife, grabbed her throat and aimed it at her neck. "I am not here for your entertainment, cockroach."
"Neither am I. It was nice to watch her get paranoid because of you," she replied, still keeping the fearless smirk on her face. "But I am not here for that. I am here to help you get closer to her."
Jake clicked his tongue and grinned. "I don't need you."
"You do. You need me to get rid of Caroline. She knows who you are."
Hearing this faltered Jake's expression and he lowered his stance. "What do you mean?"
"She knows who you are and plans to tell her you are the one behind everything." she leaned closer to him and whispered into his ear. "She is determined to make sure that no one comes between her and Emma for some reason but no one knows why. She says there is something special about her but nobody knows what it is."
Hearing this, Jake immediately recalled the conversation he heard from Caroline and this piqued his interest. "Fine. What do you want?"
"Now you are talking. Here's the deal Yandere kun, I will tell you everything you need to know and that includes my ability. In exchange, you need to get rid of Caroline before she uses you to trap her. Understood?"
Hearing this, Jake jerked his head back and hummed in thought.
"But you need to get rid of her minions. One is already making a move under that girl's bidding." With that, she walked passed him. "I don't know what is so special about her, but it's enough to warrant Caroline's determination to keep her. You already have my number. We will communicate soon."
