This took a while for me to come up with, but after awhile, I finally found my favorite (clean) song.
I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry
It’s labeled as one of my favorite clean songs because the song speaks to me. It was one of the main songs I would listen to as a child, and when I actually finally kissed a girl, the song was the first thing I thought of. My favorite lyric lines are: 314Please respect copyright.PENANA27l86YAQ6X
“Us girls, we are so magical314Please respect copyright.PENANA3u1OvNAv7Y
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable314Please respect copyright.PENANAbPnslpAP6k
Hard to resist, so touchable314Please respect copyright.PENANA2QLAGAuxLd
Too good to deny it314Please respect copyright.PENANAo0AHifHdkX
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent”
I think it’s because it speaks truth, which, most songs don’t, that’s the speciality of songs back from the 2000’s, they are kind of more relatable than the music you hear nowadays.
Another really amazing part about this song is that it came out in the year that I was born, that fact makes me like the music anymore. When the song goes: “The taste of her cherry chapstick” it makes me remember my first kiss, which actually was with a girl who was wearing cheer chapstick at the time, and even though at the age, I had never tried a cherry, I knew that I liked cherries, or maybe I was trying to down play it and tell myself that, when in reality, it was the girl lips that I liked.
Most people would think it’s silly, but I mean, everybody favorite song has a meaning behind it, why exactly do they like the song? Mines just happen to have a fun and experience meaning behind it. I feel if I was to list my second favorite, it would make people sad, because it has a sad meaning as to why I like it, but I feel like that only proves my point more, every song someone likes, has a meaning behind it.
