It was a night of terror; soldiers were toughly armed by the border, citizens were migrating from the Greene Kingdom to Vulcura Dukedom to reside, temporarily, some animals were brought to the palace underground to keep them safe, no lamps were displayed to light out the road, beggars walked through the forest to find a peaceful place to sleep in.
It was all by one reason: terrorist. Not just a terrorist, a demon terrorists. They hold such a powerful maroon orbe, owned by the historical sapphire serpent who cursed the land of Bacoma Desert to be eternally erased from the surface of the earth.
From the thorn metal lines as a border of the soldiers and their family who's crying and reaching out for them, I stood in front and stared at one of the soldiers; one of which with the lifeless eyes.
I called his name, cried and cried for it until his eyes landed mine. He almost dropped his gun to run for me, showing his smile lines. As he tucked among the soldiers, I could see his happy struggle forming.
He held my hand, something that he haven't done for so long. My brain seemed to not processed the words he's saying, I was only looking at his face, staring at it long enough hoping it'd get tattooed on my head and will never fade.
"I will wait, okay?" My hand on him tightened.
He gave me a desperate nodding. His hands on mine also tightened.
"Shiloh, we need to evacuate!" My sister appeared, grabbing my arms.
Both of our hands tightened with each other. My sister took my hands almost violently for us to let go.
"Ilinoa, be strong." My sister said to him. Ilinoa gave a determined nod, eyes gazing at me. As I turned around with my head still on him, I gave him a small smile.
