There once was a caterpillar, no matter how much it tried, it could not become a butterfly. It ate and ate and ate but nothing. It would sleep then wake up hoping to fly out of its own chrysalis but when it woke, it was still stuck to a branch. When it wasn't eating, it would look up to the sky to see its friends fluttering in the air with their orange lit wings. It longed to be like them.
Months passed, the seasons changed and so did the caterpillar. When it looked up to the sky, it didn't want to be like them; it hated them. The caterpillar became bitter. It grew tired of the taste of leaves and began hunting and eating other caterpillars. They tasted much sweeter than the leaves he ate. With each meal it grew bigger than it was before. After having its fill, it fell into a deep sleep. Its chrysalis was formed. What broke free days later, was the most beautiful butterfly. It was the colossal of its kind. This butterfly didn't crave the sweet nectar of flowers like its brethren. It craved the blood of its own friends who fluttered in the sky mocking it. But alas, as it took flight, a bird snatched it with its beak and the beautiful butterfly was no more.
