I looked at the door of my very new mentor’s office, wondering what kind of person she is. Surely she must be so amazing that even the Chief takes her seriously.

I think to myself trying not to be nervous even though deep down I know I am as I knocked and enter into the office calmly.

That young chap John comes in greeting us all. “You’re quite an early bird aren’t you?” Lupin chuckles as Felicita is looking at him stunned.
“I woke up at half past 4 by accident so I decided to kind of washing up and get ready early, Mam.”
John scratches his head shyly explaining to her which I honestly find it cute personally. “As always impressive, if only more than half of your batch have the idea of time like you do.” She says before standing up to excuse herself.

I said when Feli took her leave out of my office. Once she left, I stood up to examine this John from top to the bottom.
He is properly dressed and his haircut is really fine. It’s not surprising why Felicita has been singing nothing but praises about him all day.

He looks up continuing, I don’t know how to feel about it, should I jump in joy or cry in misery. “Probably if Matt or Gio have half of what you are capable of, I can retire a happy man and give you the Chief position.” He adds on.
I looked at him in horror. “Papa, it is not going to be a good move, I’m already happy working where I am in now.” I shook my head refusing my father’s golden offer for the many time.
