Chamomile Summers

It was only last summer

When I heard the wind blowing

A gentle tune whispered to me

It's voice filled with joy and happiness

And in the distance

The leaves would rustle alongside me.

In the chamomile meadow I stand

With my arms wide open

Letting the sunshine in and embracing the warmth.

There, I found my paradise, my Neverland.

Yet, all beautiful dreams will come to an end

Now, everything is fading away

Slipping through my fingertips like sand.

This summer, I listened to the wind again

Only to be met with a deafening silence

The rustling leaves no longer greeting me.

I kneel in the chamomile meadow

With my hands together

I prayed to the heavens above

To let the sun shine upon this world once more.
