in this generation,

people always overlook the health of teenagers,

trapped in these cages,

of not just bad physical health,

but mental,

‘mum i need help’

‘i’m not doing so good’

‘can i have a day off school?’

why won’t you listen to us?

can’t you hear me?

i just wanna be free

not trapped in this sick generation

where they only care about our education

they turn our struggles into problems

‘why are you always in your room?’

‘stop looking so sad’

‘why are you like this?’

take the hint,

don’t you notice

that i hide my arms around you?

that i buy plasters when we go to the shop?

that there’s bloody tissues on my floor?

i’m struggling,

but if i tell you that

you’ll say i’m being stupid,

you’ll say i’m overreacting,

you’ll say everyone goes through it,

why are you leaving us to suffer?

your trying to make me tougher,

but i’m not sure i’m gonna be here much longer

can’t you hear me?
