It was added to the sugar; the cornstarch, alongside lots of vegetable oils, coloring and e numbers...
Carnauba wax which was carnaubic polish used in automobile waxes, to shine shoes and furniture and even flooring and these give sweets all the glossy finish that people think are pretty.

We were told to leave them in a cooler in moulds...
