Shazodia was such a strange name and she always wondered where the family had come up with it. Of course that was not normal either. She was adopted by a white family while she was Egyptian. She came upon this arrangement by being the daughter of their best friend and fellow archaeologist from Egypt. When he and his wife were killed in an accident they left her to them. They were her godparents, but they were the only parents she ever knew, so they were mom and dad.
Sadly Shazodia for herself in the Southwest town of Dayton because her father's father, her grandfather, had passed away. He too was an archeologist. It was where the drive for it came from for her father, and he met his wife, her mother on a dig, just like he met her parents. She felt it was destiny, that no matter what the Gods had provided her with family, and for this she was grateful.
As she unlocked the familiar house, the smell of home struck her. While her parents had been on digs as she grew up, she had stayed here with her Grandfather Bert and her grandma Vera. They had helped her in so many ways. She was from such a loving family, and it made her task harder. This was now her house, and she had to go through everything and distribute the items left to people in the will. It was like he waited till she was 18 just to die so she could do it.
She walked into her grandfather's office and began her duty. It was hours of going through papers and journals and filing them on bookshelves as they would go. She finally came to the safe. With her expert memory, she opened it, and as she rifled through everything her hand touched something cold and hard. She moved the papers, and there was the most ornate crystal scarab she had ever seen in her life. As she placed her hand on it a surge of energy flew from the scarab around her whole body. She lifted from the floor as rainbow energy flowed into her root and crown chakras. Each chakra in her body was glowing its proper color brightly. With a flash of light, she found her glowing faintly with a rainbow glow.
"What the holy fuck!?"
She studied herself in the mirror in the bathroom. Her eyes had taken on a green color and her hair was longer and a shade it was not normally She talked to herself for a moment.
"Okay I am very tired, and I have been doing this for hours. I am tired and need to go to bed. So that is what I will do."
Turning off the light to the office she went to bed on the couch in the front room. As if the vents of the night were not odd enough her dreams would be even odder.

Shazodia found herself in an ancient temple with large pillars and hieroglyphics all around. She walked slowly forward toward a dais lit by candles on stands. Sitting in a chair on the stand was a man with the head of a bird. The crown seemed to be made of Emerald, and there were many treasures all about. Finally, she reached the dais, and the feeling came over her to kneel. So she did.
"Welcome young seeker. You found my ancient scarab, and now here you are?"
"Um, if I may, where exactly is here?"
"This is the Celestial Temple. Think of it as an extension of the Astral Library. Here Astral ceremonies and learning take place."
"So I am astral projecting?"
"Yes."
"Thoth is my name. I am the God of Magic and Wisdom."
Shazodia was in the presence of a God? She began to tremble and lowered her head further. This elicited a hearty belly laugh from Thoth. He stepped off the Dais and extended a hand to her.
"DO not be afraid. I am not going to hurt you. I brought you here to learn the mysteries of who and what you truly are. A guardian spirit of my sacred City and Temple. You were one of three guardians."
Shazodia took his hand and rose to her feet. She was nude, but it did not bother her. She felt as though appearing in this form was one of purity and grace. They walked down a corridor to a room full of weapons and armor. Thoth smiled.
"Select your weapon and your armor. These are magical items and will grow in power as you grow in power. They will respond to your will, and attune to your energies making others use them very difficult."
Shazodia walked up to an ornate silver shamshir, and she reached out with her hand, and right as she touched the blade in the living world she sat straight up.
"What the hell kind of dream was that!"
She got up and walked to the bathroom, she splashed her face with water, and she felt herself feeling hot like she had been doing energy work. What was happening to her, what had that scarab done? What was that rainbow energy?
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Shazodia decided to take a midnight stroll through the park, enjoying the peacefulness of the night air. But little did she know, she was being watched. A wicked vampire, with piercing green eyes and jet-black hair, emerged from the shadows, his presence exuding an aura of malevolent intent. He introduced himself as Kael, and with a charming smile, began to weave a web of dark magic around her. His words dripped with honeyed sweetness, attempting to ensnare her in a trap of seduction and deception.
But Shazodia was not one to be easily swayed. As she sensed the darkness emanating from Kael, she felt an inexplicable connection to the creatures of the night. Suddenly, two small, furry forms darted out from behind a nearby bush. Sabella, a majestic white cat with eyes like shining stars, and Sheba, an orange tabby with a mischievous grin, emerged as her familiars. With their arrival, the air was charged with an otherworldly energy, and Kael's magic faltered.
The vampire's eyes narrowed as he realized he was not alone in his attempted seduction. The two familiars positioned themselves beside Shazodia, their piercing gazes fixed on Kael like a warning. With a flicker of his wrist, Kael summoned a swirling vortex of darkness, but Sabella and Sheba were quick to respond. They conjured a shield of shimmering light around Shazodia, deflecting Kael's spell and sending him stumbling backward.
As the vampire retreated into the shadows, Shazodia realized that her newfound companions were more than just ordinary animals - they were powerful allies in the battle against the forces of darkness. With Sabella and Sheba by her side, she felt a sense of strength and determination rise within her. Together, they would face whatever dangers lay ahead, their bond growing stronger with each passing moment.52Please respect copyright.PENANA0clWe2PCkY
