"What are you saying?" Monk Zumma asked Danila.
"I can't look into Eryth's mind again. Something is blocking me from doing so."
Heyt rushed into the room. "Grevla's gone too, I can't find her."
They looked at the two before walking out of the shrine they were in. "Well, they are not kids, there's no need to worry about them disappearing."
The white-haired girl rushed in front of the old monk. "You are not gonna do anything?"
"What do you want me to do? I warned him not to go after the Tome of Discordia, but he did anyway. And if Grevla is helping him, then they should do what they want. But they are not bringing that book in here."
.
.
.
Eryth and Grevla stood in front of an extremely large tower. The place was away from the green, beautiful area and it had withered trees all around it. "Err… is this the place?" The dark brown-haired man queried. He looked down at the compass, then up at the building. He felt the compass vibrate and as he looked down at it, it disappeared.
"Well, that's your answer," said Grevla.
The two glanced at each other before proceeding towards the library.
"Who dear approach the eternal library?" A voice that felt like it was in their head asked. They looked around the place but there was no one around.
"We only need to find the whereabouts of a book that could help save a lot of lives," Grevla spoke anyway even though she saw no one.
There was pitch silence for a moment before the voice spoke again. "You seek the Tome of Discordia, a book that could potentially bring chaos back into the Realms. I should kill you right here."
"I promise, I won't let that happen," Eryth replied. His eyes still wandered around, searching for the speaker.
"I don't really care what you do with it," the voice said, catching the two by surprise. "You know, for centimillennium, I've been cooped up in here with nothing to do but go through books and answer to visitors… and there haven't been many visitors in the last decamillennium…"
The voice continued. "I have been cut off from any form of entertainment, I don't even know what it looks like beyond this place."
"Sorry??" The dark brown haired man drawled.
"Which is why I'm willing to tell you anything you want to know if you entertain me."
Eryth glanced at Grevla before turning to the library. "What do you want?"
"I'm glad you asked."
The library door opened and a figure stepped out through the door. It was about nine feet tall with shiny armour that covered its entire body, leaving only its joint out and it held a broad sword in its hand.
"Whoa," Eryth exclaimed.
"I forgot what humans look like and made this one a little too tall. Anyway, defeat my knight, and I'll answer any question you have."
Eryth took a step forward but the blue-eyed lady stopped him. "Let me do this," she said. Without waiting for his reply, she pulled out her finely made sword and stepped forward.
The knight zipped forward and swung his sword at the heir to the throne of Herimol but she managed to jump out of harm's way just in time to avoid the effect of the swing. The ground below which the knight stroked his sword scattered, sending rubble flying all around.
He doesn't waste any time as he bolts forward again swinging for another attack that Grevla shift to the side to avoid. She continued to seamlessly avoid the attacks but did not give one of her own. Her sword remained sheathed in its scabbard as she dodged another attack.
Eryth furrowed as he watched her move around the battlefield. Though his opponent kept dodging, the knight wasn't tired of sending more attacks. His actions persisted, each being more furious than the other.
Grevla jumped back a few distance, creating space between herself and the enemy. She gripped the hilt of her sword and bent her back, morphing into a striking position. The knight zipped forward, ready to swing for another attack.
The grey-haired lady inhaled and exhaled softly, not moving any part of her body as she waited for her opponent to get closer. "Light of heaven…fifth message." She pulled out her sword and an extremely bright light covered the entire place, almost blinding the dark brown-haired man. By the time his vision got clearer, the knight was lying on the ground motionless.
Grevla slipped her sword back into its scabbard and turned to Eryth who mouthed. "Show off."
"Well, we've defeated your knight, tell us where we can find the book," Grevla said.
"What makes you think I would tell you anything after you humiliated my Knight?" The voice questioned.
The two furrowed, feeling betrayed.
"Whoa, relax… I'm only playing. Of course, I'll tell you."
There was a moment of silence for a while before they heard the voice again. "The book you seek, you will find in a hut of a witch in a valley between the Hecahiyk and the forest of the living."
"Wait, if the book is in a witch's hut, does that mean the witch has possession of the powers?"
"No, the last user dropped it there without her knowledge, you just have to look for it, is all."
"And how do you know this?"
"Really? You are speaking to a building and what you are worrying about is the trueness of my words?"
Eryth scratched the back of his head and groaned. "I apologize, and thank you…"
"Avovr. My name is Avovr."
"Thank you…" the dark brown-haired man let his words trail off as he felt an extremely large flow of energy approaching them at full speed. He felt much hostility in the energy and quickly pulled out his sword while turning towards the direction of the energy. He turned just in time to hit a speeding spare just in time but a sword plunged into his abdomen.
Eryth groaned and looked up to see the attacker. The assailant had no nose, mouth or ear… the only thing on its face was a single green eye in its forehead. Its body looked naked but it had no visible private parts. The being twisted the sword and attempted to drag it up to split Eryth into two but he grabbed the sword with his hand before it went any further.
Only then did Grevla noticed what was happening. She swiftly pulled out her sword and severed the being's head before kicking the body away.
"Eryth? Eryth! Are you okay? Eryth! stay with me." Was the last thing he heard and the last thing he saw was the being that Grevla had killed. It stood up on its feet with a new head forming on its neck, and it's weapon in its hand.
