The evening was warm, but there was a strange chill in the air as Mac arrived at Lucky's house. It wasn't his first time visiting, but tonight felt different. He couldn't shake the unease sitting in his chest—not with Alpha's persistent silence, and especially not after the cryptic text warning about someone from The Order's upper ranks watching him. The looming sense of danger made the evening feel almost surreal.
As Alpha watched through Mac's eyes, Danielle found a quiet spot not too far from Lucky's house where she still had full visibility of the house and surroundings, but was hidden from any possible prying eyes. Mac then approached the door to Lucky's house and felt a chill go down his spine, Alpha also noticed small hints of mystical energy.
Alpha gave Mac a quick warning, "Stay alert, I'm sensing faint traces of mystical energies coming from around the property." Mac nodded.
Lucky greeted him at the door, her expression softening when she saw him. "Hey, Chandler. Thanks for coming." She glanced over her shoulder and lowered her voice. "Dad's in a weird mood tonight. Just... be careful, okay?"
Mac forced a smile, though he felt anything but calm. "Thanks, Lucille. I'll keep that in mind," he said, although nervous, Mac kept a calm exterior, so as not to give away any hints of what he's hiding. Lucky and Mac walked over to the dinner table where they see Lorenzo, Lucky's father, waiting patiently as his wife, Raquel Garcia, was serving the food that she had cooked.
"Need any help, mom?", Lucky asked, but her mother was already done by the time Mac and Lucky got to the table, "No, dear. Just go ahead and have a seat," Raquel said. Raquel greeted Mac with a hug, "How have you been doing Chandler? Keeping out of trouble, I hope?", she asked, Mac chuckled. "Oh, you know me, Mrs. Garcia, not an ounce of trouble," Mac said sarcastically, Lorenzo was amused by Mac's response, "At least the boy shows some sort of respect," said Lorenzo.
"Seriously, dad? Chandler is always respectful to everyone, which is why I never understood why you didn't like him," said Lucky, her tone annoyed, but strict. Lorenzo looked at Lucky confused, "What are you talking about? Of course, I like him, he's been a really good friend to you, which I appreciate," he said, but for Lorenzo it was just a façade to keep appearances believable. "Hey you two, it's alright. I'm not offended by whether you likes me or not, sir, but I do my best to protect Lucille as much as possible," said Mac as he foreshadowed the fact that he still hasn't told Lucky about Alpha or anything else that he's currently involved in.
As Alpha continued to observe, he took a good look at Lorenzo, something about him felt odd, but familiar. It's like he had met him somewhere else before, but from long ago. That made him think, "Is Lorenzo someone from Bartolo's memories?" So, while keeping an eye on things with Mac, Alpha began to sift through the stored memories of his creator, hoping to find something about Lorenzo.
Dinner with the Garcia's went by without a hitch, conversations between everyone were all normal, talking about school, Mac's martial arts training and embarrassing Lucky about her love life. When everyone was done eating, Lucky and her mother began to clean up, which gave Lorenzo an opportunity, "Chandler, would you mind if we spoke in private?", he asked, Mac found it a bit odd, but decided to play along.
"Sure, I don't mind," Mac replied as he looked over at Lucky, she gave him a concerned look, but Mac just mouthed to her 'don't worry' and began to follow Lorenzo into his office. Upon entering, Mac noticed Lorenzo's vast collection of ancient artifacts all around his office, this triggered an unsteady feeling within Alpha. "Chandler, a number of these artifacts are imbued with latent mystical energy. There's something about Lorenzo that I can't quite put my finger on it. Keep him talking for a little while longer, I might be able to figure something out," instructed Alpha, but of course Mac couldn't respond so easily.
"I see that you're a collector of sorts, Mr. Garcia," Mac began to say, but is interrupted by Lorenzo, "Please Chandler, call me Lorenzo. No need for the formalities while we're in my office," Mac nodded. "So, what is it that you wanted to talk about?", Lorenzo guided him to sit in front of his desk while Lorenzo walked around to the other side. "Chandler, I want to start by saying 'thank you'. Thank you for always being there for my daughter," said Lorenzo, his tone was genuine sincerity which surprised Mac. "Uh, yeah, of course. I consider Lucille like a sister, so it's only natural that I protect her," said Mac which Lorenzo liked to hear.
"Sister, huh? Is that why you rejected her feelings towards you?", Lorenzo asked, Mac was taken by surprise by that question that he thought for a moment, then let out a sigh. "So, she told you about that?", Mac asked and Lorenzo simply nodded, "I've known Lucille for a very long time and over the years as we grew up, I never saw her as a romantic partner. But that doesn't mean that I don't love her, just not romantically, and besides, I already have a girlfriend if she hasn't told you," explained Mac. Lorenzo sat behind his desk, thinking, "Yes, she told me about your girlfriend, but I am happy for you. My daughter told me about her feelings for you a long time ago, which is why I may have seemed distant with you in recent years," Lorenzo explained as he continued.
"But I did warn her about this possible outcome because of how close the two of you were as friends, but she couldn't accept that." Mac was slightly disappointed in himself, "I'm sorry Lorenzo, I didn't mean to hurt her feelings," Mac said, but Lorenzo put up his hand as to stop Mac from saying anymore. "I'm not the one that you need to apologize to," Lorenzo stated. Mac knew that he was right, he needed to talk with Lucky once more about it.
"Anyways, enough with the sappy talk," stated Lorenzo as he laughed it off, "Tell me something Chandler, anything caught your eye about my collection?", he asked. Mac took a moment to look around, but nothing seemed familiar to him until he saw it, the same insignia that Mr. Lou had in his office. Alpha notices it too and cautioned, "Be careful, Chandler. He's trying to bait you," but Mac saw this as an opportunity, "Is this some common symbol?", Mac asked Lorenzo.
Lorenzo looks at the insignia of The Order which made him curious, but instead he feigned ignorance, "It shouldn't be, it used to belong to a satanic cult from hundreds of years ago. Why do you ask?" Mac shrugged his shoulders, "No reason in particular, it's just that I've seen it used as a logo on shirts and jackets recently. I guess the owner of the clothing line is into satanic worshipping or something?", Mac questioned.
"Interesting... tell me something, Chandler. Do you believe in ancient legends or the supernatural?", Lorenzo asked hoping to get a certain reaction from Mac. Mac knew not to fall for Lorenzo's tricks thanks to Alpha, "Not really, but I'm a firm believer in 'seeing is believing'," Mac said. This intrigued Lorenzo, "I see. Well what if I told you that some of these items here have some sort of supernatural aspect to them," said Lorenzo, Mac didn't like where this conversation was going.
"Well, Lorenzo, if that was true then why aren't they in a museum or shown to the world?", asked Mac acting like he might avoid the direction that this conversation was going. Lorenzo found Mac's question to be a bit disingenuous, "That's a bit broadminded, don't you think? If the world knew that the supernatural was real, then there would be complete and utter chaos," said Lorenzo, Mac seemed to have struck a nerve. "I see," Mac said simply, he wanted this conversation to end immediately.
Then, Alpha finished his memory scan and what he found out was unbelievable that he needed to get Mac out of there now. "Chandler, we need to get out now. I have to tell you something important about Lorenzo," Alpha exclaimed and Mac understood. Mac looked at his watch and realized what time it was, "Oh man, it's getting late. I need to get home and get ready for school tomorrow," which Lorenzo believed because Lucky had to do the same thing.
"Ah, yes. Thank you for reminding me. Hopefully, we can continue this conversation another time," said Lorenzo, Mac hesitantly nodded then they both walked out of Lorenzo's office. Mac said his goodbyes to Lucky's parents and gave Lucky herself a hug, "See you at school tomorrow," Mac said. He left Lucky's house and headed back to his apartment. While on the way home, Mac notified Danielle to head back herself and then started to talk with Alpha.
"So, what was so 'unbelievable' that we had to get out of there, Alpha?", Mac asked. Alpha quickly replied, "Lorenzo isn't who he says he is," Alpha said very cryptically, Mac was confused. "Okay... care to explain?", Mac asked, Alpha let out a heavy sigh, "So, while you were talking with Lorenzo, I searched through my creators stored memories because he looked familiar to me," Alpha began to say, Mac was surprised to learn that Alpha had his creator's memories stored in him.
"Ok, so what did you find out about Lorenzo," Mac asked. Little did he know that he would end up regretting asking that question in the long run. Then Alpha said, "Lorenzo Garcia was known long ago as Lorenzo de Navarro, The Ashen Reaper of Death. And I believe that he is either working with or for The Order!" Mac stopped in place. His expression was wide-eyed in disbelief. The father of his closest friend was a dangerous member of The Order. Then Mac remembered the cryptic message he received earlier.
"Are you certain about Lorenzo, Alpha?", Mac asked. He feared for Lucky's safety. "Yes, I am," Alpha simply replied. "Then we need to alert Mr. Lou and it looks like we're going to have to bring Lucille into the fold," Mac said. Then he made his way home very quickly. There was a lot on Mac's mind now, Lorenzo is working for The Order and Lucky may not even know that her father is a very dangerous man. Now he had to carefully think on how he would break the news to Lucky.
Back at Lucky's house, Lorenzo was sitting in his office, everyone else had already gone to bed, but he was recalling the conversation he had with Mac, "I wonder why Chandler was interested in The Order's insignia. I need to find out more." Lorenzo then summoned a Creature. "Yes, My Lord," The Creature said as it kneeled in front of him. "I need you to follow Chandler McCullen around from the shadows and report any and all suspicious activities that he does," Lorenzo ordered. The Creature bowed its head, "As you command, My Lord." The Creature then disappeared into nothingness and Lorenzo was alone once more, "You're hiding something, Chandler, and I intend to find out what it is," he said.
The next day after school, Mac had to go see Mr. Lou. He immediately headed over, but noticed that someone was following him, so he ducked around a corner pretending he was going in that direction. Then, as soon as the person following Mac came around, he jumped out only to find that it was Stephanie. He let out a sigh of relief, "Jesus babe, why didn't you say that you were following me?", Mac asked. Stephanie replied, "I was calling out to you, but either you were ignoring me or just couldn't hear me. Why'd you leave school so suddenly?", she asked.
"Sorry. It's just that I have to go see Mr. Lou about something important, and I blocked everything else out of my mind," Mac explained, "But I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to ignore you." Stephanie wasn't mad, "It's alright, but if you're going to see Mr. Lou then it has to do with The Order, right?", asked Stephanie. Mac simply nodded, "Yeah. So, are you coming with me or not?", Stephanie nodded and they both continued on towards the studio.
As soon as Mac and Stephanie arrived at the studio, they went directly up to Mr. Lou's office, Mac knocked on the door, "Come in Chandler," Mr. Lou said. Mac opened the door and walked in, followed by Stephanie, "Ah, this must be the infamous girlfriend that Chandler has talked about. It's nice to meet you. My name is Luis Marcianos, but you can call me Mr. Lou." Mr. Lou extended his hand out and Stephanie shook it, "Nice to meet you Mr. Lou, I'm Stephanie Connors," she replied and Mr. Lou slightly bowed his head.
"With the formalities out of the way, what brings you here this early Chandler? Training doesn't start for another few hours," said Mr. Lou. Mac quickly replied, "Alpha needs to talk with you." Mr. Lou looked at Mac, his face looked like he was irritated at him, "Who's this Alpha you speak of?", Mr. Lou asked pretending like he knew nothing which confused Mac. "Oh, don't worry, Steph knows everything already. You don't need to pretend," said Mac, but that didn't make things any better, "Damn it, boy! You can't just be going around telling people about these things," said Mr. Lou in an angry tone of voice.
"Right, I guess I did forget to tell you, but my parents said that it was my decision to make on who I can tell the truth. If I was wrong, then that would be on me, but I trust Steph and you can to," Mac told Mr. Lou. Then Mr. Lou took a deep breath and exhaled, "Fine... Ms. Connors, I hope you know what you're getting yourself into," said Mr. Lou, Stephanie nodded. "Right, anyways Chandler, what is so important that Alpha needs to talk to me?", asked Mr. Lou, Mac quickly responded, "One sec, I'll let Alpha take control."
After a few seconds, Alpha was in control of Mac's body and first looked at Stephanie, "Hello Stephanie, I'm Alpha. It's good to finally meet you," said Alpha. Stephanie looked at Alpha. She was very confused, but she did notice how much more golden Mac's eyes were, "This is so weird, but it's good to meet you too," said Stephanie. Then Alpha turned to Mr. Lou, "Luis, we have major problem. Do you remember Lucille, Chandler's friend?", Alpha asked. Mr. Lou nodded, "I do."
"Her father is Lorenzo de Navarro, The Ashen Reaper of Death and he's in disguise," Alpha told Mr. Lou and his expression changed instantly. Immediately, Mr. Lou grabbed a strange looking box and jolted to each corner of the studio, placing a unique looking stone at each corner, then he went to the middle of the studio. Mr. Lou then began reciting something as Alpha and Stephanie watched from his office window, "Salomonis patrocinium invoco. Absconde praesentiam nostram de Tenebris!"
Alpha and Stephanie watched as a bubble-like sphere formed at the room's center, expanding to cover every inch of the studio. Outside, The Creature that had been following Mac around was able to keep tabs on Mac through the walls, but instantly lost track after Mr. Lou cast the protection spell. The Creature quickly rushed into the studio, but much to its surprise, the studio looked abandoned, so it started looking around.
The protection spell that Mr. Lou conjured was to hide everything within the area of the stones placement, and in this case, it was the entire studio including its occupants. So, it was more like an illusion because even though The Creature was inside walking around, it could not sense anyone or anything. But Mr. Lou and everyone else could see The Creature.
Mr. Lou waved up to Alpha, "Alpha, can you bring my sword down here please?", asked Mr. Lou. Alpha knew what sword he was talking about... it had the ability to erase memories from The Darkness, so he quickly looked around for it. Once Alpha found it, he brought it down to Mr. Lou and gave it to him, "Thank you. As soon as you told me about Lorenzo, I had a feeling that Chandler was being followed," said Mr. Lou.
"We can't have it reporting back to The Order about anything it has seen while following Chandler," said Mr. Lou and with a single swing of the sword, Mr. Lou cut The Creature in half and it dissolved away. Elsewhere, Lorenzo sensed a disturbance with The Hivemind and investigated it only to find out that The Creature it had assigned the task of following Mac was destroyed and The Hivemind lost all memory about it. Lorenzo was not happy about this, "It seems like I'll have to handle this personally," he said.
Back at the studio, Mac had regained control of his body because Mr. Lou had to talk with him about Lorenzo, "Chandler, you'll need to bring Lucille in and tell her the truth. The longer she stays with Lorenzo, the more danger she'll be in," said Mr. Lou. Mac understood, but he still wanted to learn more about who Lorenzo really was, "Mr. Lou, can you tell me anything about Lorenzo?", Mac asked. He desperately wanted to know how much danger Lucky was in.
Mr. Lou let out a dissatisfying sigh, "Lorenzo de Navarro was given the name of The Ashen Reaper of Death and was labeled as the first horseman of The Order a long time ago," Mr. Lou explained. "He is a cold, cruel and unforgiving human being who has lived a very long time, but he wasn't always like that. Something happened to him that made him that way," said Mr. Lou. "As to what that was, I have no idea," he said. Mac was annoyed, "So, you do know more about The Order then you're letting me to believe," Mac said. Then he asked, "What else aren't you telling me?"
Mr. Lou smiled, "Go home for now. I promise to tell you more about The Order after we find a way to deal with Lorenzo." Mac desperately sighed, "Fine, but I'm holding you to that promise," Mac said and Mr. Lou nodded. Mac and Stephanie left shortly after and while on the way home, Mac had Stephanie go to her house and promised to spend time with her later, but that he just had a lot on his mind. Stephanie understood and they parted ways.
As soon as Mac got home, he kicked off his shoes and went to lay down on the couch in the living room and turned on the TV. Danielle was in her room when Mac arrived, so she came out to go see him in her usual getup, tits out and in short shorts that formed around her hips and ass. "Hey there, champ. You doing alright?", she asked, Mac looked at her then down at her tits, "I am now thanks to those massive tits of yours," Mac said playfully. Danielle chuckled, "I'm glad that you're finally feeling comfortable with me being practically naked all the time," she said, then she went over and laid down next to Mac.
Thankfully, the couch was wide enough to fit the both of them, "Anything good to watch?", Danielle asked, but Mac was distracted. "No idea, but I'm enjoying something else at the moment," Mac said flirtatiously. Danielle knew what he was talking about, so she shifted her position and got on top of Mac. "Ok, easy there Ms. Bodyguard, you're going to get me in trouble," said Mac. But Danielle was grinning and laughing.
"And what if I do? Whose going to know about it cause I'm not going to say anything about it, are you?", Danielle asked with a flirtatious look on her face. Mac looked away, but Danielle leaned in and whispers in his ear, "If you're worried about crossing a certain line, then don't. I'm just here to tease you until you can't handle it anymore," Danielle told Mac, he then looks back at her. "Look, I'm glad that you gave me permission to be 'playful' with you, Danielle. And I never considered going as far as you're thinking, but how far is 'too playful'?", Mac asks Danielle.
Danielle thought for a moment, then leaned in again, whispering something only Mac could hear, he was stunned. Mac let's out a loud gasp, "Wha— So, you mean I can do anything except that?", Mac asked with a surprised look on his face, Danielle nodded as she grinned flirtatiously. "Think about it like this Chandler," Danielle began to say, "I'm letting you do this so that you're prepared to preform when it comes to Stephanie." Mac was excited, although maybe a bit too excited, but then something came to mind, "Wait, if you're helping me for Stephanie's sake, then wouldn't what you said be included?", Mac asked.
Danielle wasn't surprised in the slightest that Mac would figure out a loophole, so she came up with an offer, "How about this Chandler, you're old enough to make that decision on your own. So, when the time comes, I'll let you decide what you want to do and I won't be against it." Then, Danielle thought back to the initial meeting she had with Mac's parents prior to taking the job as his personal bodyguard as there was one requirement that Danielle needed to agree to before fully committing to the job.
"So, Danielle," said Crispin as he looked at Samantha, then back towards Danielle, "There is one more thing that we need to ask of you that may sound unethical." Danielle looked at the McCullen's a bit confused, "Alright, what is it?", Danielle asked, then Samantha let out a sigh, "With everything that is going on with Chandler, we fear that he's going to miss out on certain aspects of life," said Samantha.
"One thing we're not sure of is if Chandler is actively looking for a girlfriend and he needs to start thinking about not only his future, but the future of our bloodline," Crispin told Danielle. "You're not asking me to be your son's girlfriend to continue the bloodline, are you?", Danielle asked with a confused, but curious tone, Crispin and Samantha both shook their heads.
"No, not at all," said Samantha, then Crispin continued, "What we're asking is for you to help Chandler open up in becoming sexually active with whoever he becomes romantically involved with." Danielle was not as shocked as the McCullen's expected, "So, in other words, you want me to help your son be ready for sex with his future girlfriend?", Danielle asked as she looked back and forth between Crispin and Samantha.
"Like I said, it sounds unethical, I know—" Crispin began to say, but then Danielle interrupts him, "I'll do it." Crispin and Samantha look at Danielle in disbelief, "Wait, really?", Samantha questioned, "Yeah, I know that kid of yours has a thing for me cause I've seen it," Danielle said.
Crispin puts his hand on his face and begins to laugh, Samantha chuckles as well, "Well, you're not wrong. Chandler does have a thing for females with rather large breasts, slim figure, and a nice butt. I mean, he does take from his father during his younger years," Samantha said.
Crispin looks at Samantha with disappointment. "En serio, cariño? This is about Chandler, not me." Samantha couldn't help but chuckle a bit.
Danielle began to laugh as well, "That's for sure, Chandler tries to be sneaky, but I've always managed to catch him staring at me when I was with him," she said.
Samantha sighed in disappointment. "We're not surprised, plus we have a feeling that whoever Chandler chooses as a girlfriend, she'll more than likely have the same physical traits like you do."
"So, I need to ask just to make sure I have a clear conscious going into this," said Danielle, the McCullen's nodded, "Do I have full control on what I can or cannot do with your son?", Danielle asked. Crispin and Samantha briefly look at each other and nod, "Yes, you can handle it however you want to. Chandler is old enough to consent and make that decision on his own. We will not interfere," said Crispin. And with that, Danielle shook their hands and officially took on the job of being Mac's personal bodyguard amongst other things.
Back in Mac's apartment, he continued to lay there with Danielle still on top of him, Mac took her offer and thought on it for a moment, "So, would this be considered a casual relationship between us?", Mac asked with a sense of curiosity. "Call it whatever you want, you and I are stuck together for as long as this fight with The Order and The Darkness lasts. Even then, I might not end up leaving cause you're just too cute to mess around with," said Danielle.
Hearing that made Mac happy, he's glad to call Danielle a friend even though it's going to be a very odd friendship with her. It was getting late, and it was time to get ready for bed, so Mac smacked Danielle on her ass to have her get off, then he went to go use the bathroom. During that time, Danielle didn't want to stop teasing him, so she snuck into Mac's room, got in his bed and covered herself with the bedsheets and then took off her shorts and tossed them on the floor.
After Mac was done in the bathroom, he walked into his room and saw the shorts on the floor and picked them. After looking at them, he easily recognized them as belonging to Danielle, so he wondered why they were on the floor in his room. Then he looked over to his bed and saw Danielle laying there under his sheets, "You're relentless, aren't you?", Mac questioned, Danielle just simply shrugged her shoulder. Mac was no longer bothered by it and changed into his sleepwear and got into his bed with Danielle still just laying there, but curiosity got the better of him and he took a peek under the covers.
He liked what he saw and just left it at that and fully laid down facing Danielle, then she turned around with her back facing Mac and snuggled close to him. Mac refrained from following his intrusive thoughts, but Danielle had other plans as she grabbed Mac's hand and placed it on one of her tits, "Sweet dreams, Chandler," she said. Mac smiled and just got comfortable, squeezed her tit and fell asleep, Danielle smiled and fell asleep shortly after.
But, unbeknownst to our hero, outside Mac's apartment was Lorenzo as he was able to follow Mac earlier through the shadows and find where he lived. Lorenzo had a plan to force Mac into revealing his secrets, but it would involve breaking his disguise and revealing his true form not only to Mac, but to Lucky as well. Lorenzo wasn't exactly ecstatic about the plan because he truly did care for his daughter, but his allegiance was to The Order, so whether he liked it or not, sacrifices had to be made.
Even if it involved his daughter....
