Tiyasha gazes at the book intently and feels mesmerised by the beauty of the cover design. There's something unusual about the book cover that makes it quite charming, yet mysterious. Tiyasha often visits the library and spends a lot of time there. She's known as a voracious reader in her school, and she feels proud because of that. She prefers to read fantasy books the most because those books take her to realms of interesting creatures. Fantasy books help her escape reality and provide her opportunities to explore worlds that differ completely from the real world. As she reads regularly, she comes across several book covers. However, this particular book cover makes her extremely curious about the story. The vibrant colours and the illustration of a dense forest capture Tiyasha's attention in such a way that she can't take her eyes off the cover. Then she notices the name of the author. Even though the name is unknown to her, she doesn't hesitate to read the book. Generally, she doesn't read books written by unpopular authors, but in this case, she feels drawn to the book. She is engrossed in the pages of the book and suddenly hears a whisper. The book falls from her hand; startled, she looks around to understand the source of that voice. Then she hears the voice again, and she realises it's coming from the book. The book speaks in a low voice, "Are you enjoying the story, Tiyasha? Do you like the plot? Or do you want me to make some changes to it?" Tiyasha stares at the book with disbelief in her eyes and murmurs, "How can you speak? You're an inanimate object!" There's silence for a few seconds, and she hears the soft voice again. "Isn't it great? It makes a book so much more appealing." The book says in a delightful tone. Tiyasha picks up the book nervously and asks, "How is it possible for an author to write a whispering book?" The book replies, "It's not possible for a human being. But my author isn't a human." Tiyasha's voice quivers as she speaks, "What do you mean? What is he?" The book responds calmly, "He's a wizard. So, he can do a lot of things that seem impossible to human beings." Tiyasha's eyes widen when she hears the word, wizard. She found the word, wizard in many fantasy books and never believed in the existence of these creatures. She tries to speak, but no words come out of her mouth. The enchanting book whispers, "Tiyasha, I've a request to make. Can you take me to your house with you? I feel very lonely here. Nowadays, people don't visit libraries that much. Yes, some people do visit libraries, but they don't read me because the author is unknown to them. You're the only one who has shown interest in reading me. Will you be my friend?" Tiyasha's expression changes when she hears the words spoken by the book. Her puzzled, confused, and nervous look gets replaced by warmth. She ponders upon the words of the book for a minute and says, "Why do you want to be my friend? I'm a human and I'm very different from you." The book responds in a friendly tone, "I became doubtful about my worth because nobody read me. You're the only one who has given me importance. You have made me feel special." Tiyasha's face lights up as she hears the whispering book's response. She says approvingly, "You can stay with me at my house. I don't have friends because I'm an introvert. I consider books to be my friends, and I will be glad to add a whispering book to my bookshelves. It will make my life magical, just like a fantasy book. However, I need to take permission from the librarian to take you with me permanently." The book replies immediately, "I can make myself only visible to you, so that the librarian won't see you putting me inside your bag." Tiyasha says, "No, I don't want to do that. Tiyasha goes towards the desk of the librarian, and a middle-aged lady looks at her with a smile. The lady asks, "Have you found something interesting today?" Tiyasha says hesitantly, "Can I take the book named The Forest of Wonder and Mystery with me, Ma'am? The librarian smiles again, "Of course, you can. I know you are a passionate reader, especially when it comes to fantasy books." Tiyasha doesn't speak for a few seconds as she feels unsure of what to say. Then she begins speaking, "No, actually, I want to take the book permanently." Tiyasha observes the librarian's questioning look and speaks again, "I know, Ma'am, this request is ridiculous. However, there's a reason behind it. The book has a personality and voice because of its beautiful cover design, great storytelling style, and unique plot. However, many people won't pick up the book because the author isn't well-known. Other than that, it is a children's fantasy book. Most of the people who visit this library are adults, and they may not feel interested in reading a book written for children. If I take the book with me, I'll ask my class teacher to read the book in class, so that a lot of children can listen to the story. I'll also show the book to my cousins and make them understand the value of this book. Then they'll also read this captivating story." After saying these words, Tiyasha pauses for a brief moment and then continues, "I never requested anything like this, Ma'am.
