Joy, what is joy?

Is it happiness, sorrow or an emotional alloy?

Does it come from sleep,

Or from tears ever deep?

Does it come from the Most High?

Happiness, like clouds drifting in the sky.

Is joy everlasting?

The fruit of my spirit, so relaxing.

My mind has gone blank,

Could I ever give it a rank?

Happiness will fade, but I hope joy wouldn't.

Hope it will help me when I know happiness couldn't.

Felt alone, stranded in troubles, someone else's mess;

Almost had the feeling of being depress.

Felt a surge of strain and stress;

Couldn't tell my master, then how could I tell the press?

Trapped in silence, burdens too wide;

Searching for joy, praying it won't hide.
