Two living things hid in a deserted shoppette. Their names are Kimiko and Minoru. Minoru was crouched down and looking through the bottom shelves for supplies to bring back to their hideout with the others. Kimiko was keeping lookout for the more…dead things walking the streets. It was quiet, too quiet. Kimiko heard something moving around the shelf, she peered over to see an undead wandering a bit too close for comfort.
“Uh…Minoru, we got a minor problem.” She whispered over into Minoru’s ears.

“I said it might be clear!” Kimiko returned the flavor of choking. The zombie jumped at them, ready to attack. Kimiko and Minoru started running. They had been running around the city dodging zombies all day. It was their job after all. Soon the sun was setting into the ground and Kimiko and Minoru started their long walk home
They had been walking for a while when Kimiko broke the silence.
“I’m sorry!” She tried to get Minoru to forgive her.

“No, you're not.” He walked as he opened the door to their pale blue house.
Kimiko and Minoru, having returned from raiding a shoppette in the city, split up to find someone, each with a respective target. Kimiko goes looking for Hana while Minoru goes to see Akio. The kitchen has a long outdated style of dark wooden floors and black marble counters. In the kitchen, Minoru finds a short-haired redhead wearing a white chef uniform, the exact person he was looking for.

“Welcome back weirdo.” Akio replies as Minoru starts handing over some of the supplies found in an overgrown and well-rusted shoppette on the decaying first floor.
“Kimiko and I went through the old shop down in Upland End. You know, with the strange-lookin' mannequins.” Minoru continues to explain while assisting Akio in putting away the supplies that were found.
Minoru throws one item at a time to Akio so he can put them away instead of making the walk to and from the four bags. A short while later Minoru throws an empty can at Akio’s head and then they hear people talking in the distance. Looking out the window to see three people walking down the dirt walkway made after several uses, mainly by Minoru and Kimiko. The three individuals were walking closer to the abandoned house they called home. Both boys take off to find Kimiko and Hana to warn them. Minoru and Akio only find Kimiko lying in her bed.
“Code C!” They yell out as they start to run back down the hallway to Hana’s room only to find it eerily silent and empty. Kimiko takes them down the stairs to the other stairs that lead down into the basement of the house. Kimiko brings Minoru and Akio to the staircase and tells them to stay behind the boxes until she comes back. Kimiko grabs a bat and hides elsewhere in the old house. The three people walking up the dirt pathway to an old bridge, it was red, but the paint was peeling to reveal the rotting wood underneath. On the other side was a pale blue house that seemed old and rustic with no one inside. The three girls reach the door and walk inside, unaware of the danger that lurks around the corner. They split up to search the house so Kimiko takes advantage of this and goes after them one at a time.
The first one on the list is a girl with semi-long brown hair and a darkish skin tone. The girl walked down the hall with Minoru’s and Akio’s bedrooms. She was just about to enter Minoru’s room when she heard soft breathing behind her. She turns around expecting it to be one of her friends trying to mess with her. But when she laid her eyes on who was behind her, her heart sank. She didn’t recognize them at all. She let out a muffled yell…and then there was silence. A shame that such beautiful dark brown hair had to be ruined with the stain of fresh blood.
Kimiko follows a girl with short blonde hair, the girl wears a red jacket with white details with a white tank top, much like Kimiko herself. As the girl walked down the hall that housed Kimiko and Hana, The girl never noticed she was being followed until it was too late. Two of the threats were now taken down. Kimiko walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where the last girl was. The last was a short girl with short brown hair and glasses. She is on edge but can’t find out why. Detract swing-an-hit! And over. All three girls are slowly dragged down the stairs to the basement and tied to the few chairs that were there. Minoru and Akio were called out to help Kimiko with this task.
The basement itself wasn’t bad, it was actually in pretty good shape. There was an old mattress in the far corner of the basement while a singular shelf was pushed against the wall that was attached to the stairs. It held a vase with flowers that had long since expired. A small box containing emergency water bottles. A small brown bag lies on the top shelf, propped up against the wall with a hairless pink tail poking out from the opening. In the other corner, there was a boiler area, no longer functional and covered in dust from never being used. The girls wake up to find a redhead with long hair and foggy blue eyes staring at them threateningly.

“We were told that no one would be here because it’s a zone 7.” Answered the girl with shoulder-length brown hair.
“Well, I’m at a loss for words! You could have gotten yourselves killed! I mean honestly, you can't just walk in a place that looks abandoned and empty! It’s a one-way ticket to death's doorstep! Not only that but out of the three of you, none of you had any sort of weapon!? Don’t you know anything?-” The redhead rambled on and on even though she said she was at a loss for words. Suddenly two boys walked out from behind a few boxes stacked next to the stairs.

“Yeah, chill out a bit, I mean everyone is fine and we have the threats tied up.” Said the male with mid-length hair.

“I’m Artemis-” Said the girl in the middle with dark hair and skin, “And the blonde to the right of me is Casper, and to the left is Momo.”
Kimiko continued to interrogate the three girls until she leaves. It was determined that they were not a threat.
“My name is Minoru and the redhead here is Akio.” said the mid-length dark blonde-haired male. He gestures at Akio lazily while Akio stands up besides Minoru. Casper and Momo were somewhat behind Artemis while Minoru and Akio were in front of them. They stood there in a room thick with tension. Then a girl with a blue shirt and dark blonde hair came down the stairs into the basement. She stood on the bottom of the stairs, gazing over those in the room with a cheery attitude that disregards the apprehension of everyone else.

“This is Hana. Also, Hana, Kimiko was looking for you earlier, you might want to go find her.” Minoru clarified.
“Oh, yeah! I want to tell her about this thing I saw today!” She said while leaving up the stairs. The room suddenly felt a lot lighter. Minoru walked upstairs, saying that he needed to finish what he had been doing earlier. So now, only Casper, Momo, Artemis, and Akio were left.
“I guess you guys can walk around,” Akio said. Casper walked off while Artemis scuttled away. Momo and Akio stayed in the room and talked. When Akio looked at the shelf, he saw that the small animal in the bag had mysteriously disappeared.
