Marsillas rose from his chair and wiped his eyes. He went to check on the children. That’s when he realized that among them, there was no demon. He lifted Aika, who, noticing the tear marks on his face, smiled and held out her hand. Marsillas noticed it. He held Aika high above his head, and staring in her eyes, he said:
”Do you understand me?”
Aika nodded. Marsillas rubbed his eyes and asked again. She nodded again.
“They are wonder children” he muttered to himself.
Then he heard a loud *Thump!*
It came from Aurelia’s room. He put Aika down and ran to the room. He found Aurelia lying on the ground, her face upward, gasping and eyes wide open, looking surprised. It seemed she had come back to herself and, trying to walk, fell because she had been bedridden for a month.
”Aurelia!” exclaimed Marsillas in excitement.
He helped her up and sat her in a chair.
”Are you okay? Can you walk? Are you dizzy? Do you feel pain anywhere?”
To this barrage of questions Aurelia smiled.
”You are as caring as always, Marsillas. I’m okay. Thank you for worrying about me.”
Maresillas blushed. He dearly loved Aurelia and didn’t want any harm to befall her.10Please respect copyright.PENANAjqPfPZnSvb
During the next three months, Aurelia recovered slowly and her four children came to know their mother. A gentle woman, Aurelia was very beautiful. She had long silver hair and beautiful blue eyes. The children instantly loved her. It turned out that Marsillas married Aurelia after she had been chased away. She then took her husband’s surname, Lavande.
In the fifth month, Aurelia had fully recovered. They proceeded to the naming ceremony. This involved calling everyone to the town square and giving names to your child. Then, you would have a party with your family and close friends. It was also an opportunity to circumcise the boys.
So then, at the fountain in the town square, the Lavande family waited for the townspeople. When they arrived, they found the four in their cot, waiting to be named. Aurelia first took Kaede out and handed him to Marsillas, who circumcised him. Then he gave him a name: Abel. He was the first son. Alexander was followed by Aika, who was named Adele. Aiko was named Adelheid, and Hakuto, Abelheid. He was also circumcised.
Now that they had names, they had to learn them. Each one got used to their name and life went on.
Then the next month, they learned to crawl. Now they could move around. They discovered the library of their father, with topics ranging from magic to martial arts to even farming. They started devouring the books although they weren’t supposed to even be able to read. Their parents were shocked, but they let them because one needed to be old enough for their body to handle the stress that spell casting imposed on the body. But these children, as we’ve already seen, are no ordinary children. They learnt the spells and tested them in the library, in a corner where no one could see them. But one day, the tried a merging spell, a spell that binds different attacks to create an attack. But they never realized that it was a divine level spell. After all, they’d been using advanced spells within realizing it. But on this day, their mother was looking for them because it was getting to lunchtime. She reached there the second they cast it. Luckily, quick-thinking Abelheid (Hakuto) cast a barrier spell, blocking the attack and saving the life of their mother. The latter got scared. She screamed her head off ( [~_~] )till Marsillias came along and comforted her. Aurelia told Marsillas what had happened. Marsillias was frozen by the time Aurelia had finished. He was so shocked. Firstly, for a person to cast a spell, they had to chant a long sentence. Only the most skilled could cast without speech, and even then, only elementary spells. Second was the fact that, despite being so young, they could cast a spell and be okay, and not even an elementary spell, a divine level spell. Even the most experienced of mages could hardly cast a divine spell, let alone more than one. He decided that they wouldn’t try to assess the amount of mana they have, for fear of dying of shock. At seven months, look what they could do, let alone when they would grow older.
After being petrified for sometime and thinking so hard, Marsillas decided to at least test their affinities.
Narrator: There are five elements: light, dark, fire, ice, nature and divine elements. Most people have an affinity to one, at most two elements. Those who had an affinity with nature and divine always had only that, no more elements.
In the end he found that Alexander, Alexara, Alexia and Alexeev were all compatible to all the elements. It was unbelievable. He then shared his concerns about the absence of a demon among the children with Aurelia. She revealed that when the demon king was planting his seed, she sensed his magic wane. His mana was being absorbed into a ring he wore to prevent his mana from exploding and killing those around him. This could have ensued an shortage of mana and consequently, no real seed. This would mean that that the demon side was hiding in one pf the children. The problem solved, they went to eat, while still watching the children’s every single move.
