Nico
We had finally made it to Language arts after a lot of Linen complaining and completely bullying me, I had to keep reminding myself to stay kind. It was my first real class of the day so I tried to stay calm but "Curly Girl" was making me lowkey mad.
I walked in and saw a big whiteboard that said Ms. Anderson on it. The room was medium-sized with beige walls with reading posters hung on the walls, It was a very elegant room with nice lights that still fit the camp/cabin vibe. Ms. Anderson herself had medium-long black wavy hair and black eyes. She was wearing a white long dress with flowers on it and butterfly long dangling earrings. I was just trying to observe everything about her, humans seemed to have all kinda of personalities and looks described through their clothes. "Good morning, you must be Nico, your seat is right there," Ms. Anderson said pointing at my seat. I went over and sat in my seat, and of course, I was sat next to Linen. She took one glance at me and went "UGH". Like really what are the chances?
Then it hit me while I was sitting KASSEN he was all alone. I hope he made it to his next class. The class was starting so I tried my best to focus. It's Language arts it can't be that hard... I was so wrong, the teacher spent time explaining stuff on the board and then passed a paper around that went over what she had taught. I thought It was easy and I understood, but I was wrong again. Linen was done fast, and Ms. Anderson told her to work on her poem project or something. I still had a good 20 minutes before class ended so I sat there and just stared at my paper. What in the world is a preposition?
Linen seemed so unbothered by her work, I was getting that a lot from her. She seemed so unbothered by serious things, but people clearly ticked her off, or at least me, she seemed smart and she knew it. I saw her catch my face and then she said " Are you okay? You look constipated or something" I think I'm going to die. "I'm fine really," I said rolling my eyes. "Do you need help?" she said back. Shoot what do I say? Like I mean I do kinda need help but I also don't really want her help.
"Umm Nico, Hello? Oh my gosh you're a mess," She said walking over to my desk. "umm" was all I could say. "Ok, so you're only on number 5, that's not even half of the assignment," she said, sounding like she thought I was pathetic. What is going on? My brain was too confused school was already a headache and so was this whole mission! " Do you know what a preposition is?" she asked looking at my face. It was like she was reading my mind, like she was a female version of Ty. "uh, no" I admitted. "Wow, what do they teach in that "perfect" world school then?," She asked looking at me like I was stupid. "Umm, I'm not sure anymore," I said shrugging. " Welp seems like we have a lot to work on," she said sighing.
The rest of class she spent trying to help me understand prepositions and all these other big LA words. Ms. Anderson didn't say anything about Linen helping me she seemed surprised but also unfazed about it. Finally, the bell rang after what felt like hours of torture listening to Linen completely bashing me about my Language arts knowledge. I didn't Imagine my "earthly mission" being stuck with a human who clearly hated me and I hated her. We were supposed to be avoiding humans anyway, not really caring about them, so I guess Linen kinda did that she made me not care one bit about humans!
