Rules were never enough to contain Suisei, Princess of Comets.
While the rest of the palace buzzed with diplomacy and tension, Suisei moved like a streak of stardust — fast, curious, and unnoticed. Her sister was busy negotiating a marriage she didn’t want. The guards were distracted by the Solar delegation. And Suisei, as usual, was bored.
She wandered the Moon Palace with no destination, just the spark of a wild idea: to find the one place Kanji had warned her never to enter — the Sacred Lunar Vault.
Hidden beneath the palace, protected by celestial scripts and spells, the Vault housed ancient relics and records — things too dangerous, too sacred, or too shameful to be remembered.
The door was sealed with moonlight runes. Suisei, grinning, hovered a comet-charged fingertip over the glyphs.
"Just a peek," she whispered. "I won’t touch anything... probably."
The runes resisted her at first, but her comet magic — unpredictable and untamed — reacted with a surge of energy. A single glyph cracked.
The vault door hissed open.
Inside, shadows danced across scrolls, steles, and silver urns. The air was colder — ancient — humming with memory and menace.
Suisei stepped lightly, eyes wide with wonder. She paused before a pedestal wrapped in silken chains of moonlight, and on it:13Please respect copyright.PENANAi0hpUZTgEw
A stone tablet, pulsing with a strange rhythm. The seal binding it was fragile — and curious comet fingers couldn’t resist.

The seal broke.
And with it, something unseen — and hungry — awoke.
Far above, in the upper towers, Tsuki jolted awake from a nap with a cold sweat. Her heart raced. A pressure had entered the palace — subtle, dark, and familiar in a way that made her blood chill.
Nightmares began that very night.
Servants reported strange whispers in the halls. Silver mirrors reflected faces that weren’t there. The tides outside the palace surged wildly, crashing against the moon cliffs.
The Queen’s star oracle collapsed in a trance, repeating one word:
"Getsu."
Deep in the abandoned wing of the Moon Palace — the one where shadows clung to the walls and no one dared enter — a figure stirred. Cloaked in darkness, half-forgotten, half-formed.
Getsu, the banished twin.13Please respect copyright.PENANA8vHrOt2dtu
The Moon's shadow.
She opened her eyes for the first time in years.
"The seal has broken," she murmured, voice like frost cracking glass.13Please respect copyright.PENANA0K4svjfFmF
"Soon, sister… we will meet again."
