There it was, that horrid sound...753Please respect copyright.PENANABhm72UwFN7
Jonathan slowly raised from his bed, slumping into a sitting position. His shoulders tense, and arms wrapped firmly fixed around him. He could feel beads of sweat beginning to form at his temples.753Please respect copyright.PENANAmQfJ9uDaj5
The sound would scratch from the insides of his walls, it's sound getting louder and louder, and Jonathan's breath falling deeper and quicker.753Please respect copyright.PENANA3dXr3BITWq
But no, not tonight did Jonathan hear the sound from his walls, but...753Please respect copyright.PENANA3YUD0t6lOc
Inside.753Please respect copyright.PENANAtCet3iRZac
Jonathan gripped at his sheets, trembling vigorously. The slight shuffling noise it made along the carpet could send shivers down anyone's spine. But then, all was silent. The sound had become completely inaudible under Jonathon's duvet crinkling, as he leaned over toward his phone to check the time. 2:56am. Almost the devil's hour.753Please respect copyright.PENANAP80GvCyTEk
All was silent... Too silent.
Without any thought, Jonathan whipped around and flicked on his lamp. His widened eyes scanned the room carefully. Everything seemed to be okay, until his breath hitched, as his eyes laid onto the creature twitching in front of him.
Though a small statured creature, Jonathan wasn't going to let that fool him. It's beady, soulless eyes stared right into his. It was covered head to paw in matted brown fur, and had a tail long and thin like yarn. It was disgusting, born from the depths of hell. Jonathan thought of nothing but to flee in terror, as the fearsome creature scurried away as fast as him...
It was a mouse.
