It was like he wanted to get something off of his chest, the look was one I've seen before. It was the look he gave to me when he came to my door and tried explaining what happened after coming back from New York, furrowed brows, clenched jaw, eyes down almost as if he was refusing to look at me, ashamed?

I was starting to feel worried, but I tried my hardest not to show it on my face. Had he cheated on me? I had to mentally prepare myself for the possibility.

"Work was good actually, really good!"

For a second I felt kinda silly, because the conversation was starting to sound just like the one I had with imaginary Diamond, but I knew that the next thing I said was not going to be part of the script.

" That's why I need to talk to you, can we go sit on the couch?"

"Yeah sure, just let me turn the stove off and I'll be right there." She says with a smile, but I can see the worry in her eyes, no matter how she tries to hide it.  

"Ok, what are you making anyway?" I say making my way to the long black L-shaped sofa.

"Homemade spaghetti, your favorite!"

Why is she literally so perfect?

A few seconds later she sat next to me on the sofa.

"Ok, now what did you want to talk to me about?"

"It's work, so um, I got a call from Mr. Alonzo today concerning a case... he wants to mee-"

"Wait!, Mr. Alonzo as in I-Tech Alonzo? The richest guy ever Alonzo?"

"Yeah, that Alonzo," I say nodding my head with a laugh.

She jumps and hugs me, letting go and moving back to her place on the couch.

"I'm so happy for you! You did take the job right?"

"Yes I took the job, but that's the thing, he wants me to fly to New York... tomorrow morning, I wanted to talk to you to see if you were ok with it, you know considering..."

The smile that I had on my face faded. You would think that before he took the job knowing it was in New York, he would talk to me first, but he did it the other way around. I was happy for him, mad, even sad. What should I even say to him?

The truth, tell him the truth.

"Can you say something, are you okay?"

"Tyler,  it wouldn't really matter if I didn't want you to go or not, you already said yes, there is no taking that back, and what happened in New York, happened, and it's been forgiven, it would be selfish of me to say I didn't want you to go, I do. Its just... what's bugging me is what you'll do when you get there. I guess I have to put all my trust in you huh? Is this job a big deal to you?"

"Yeah, it really is."

Taking his hand in mine, "then go for it, your good at what you do, you've worked hard to earn this, so go for it. How many days will you be in New York?"

"5... I have 3 days to go over case files, the actual court day, then my flight to come back leaves nine pm on the 5th day."

"So you'll have the whole last day off?"

"Yes."

" Ok."

As I get up Tyler grabs my hand, I turn to face him who is still sitting on the couch, "thank you, Diamond."

"For what?"

"Having trust in me, taking a second chance with me, forgiving and forgetting. I love you."

I now stood between his legs, cupping his face... "I love you too, but Ty, I forgave but I didn't forget."

I leaned in and gave him a kiss, a kiss filled with hope, love, passion, and possession. He was mine, and I was his, and the crazy thing about it all, no matter what he did I don't think that would ever change, cause I always will come back to Ty.591Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡAtcfhpNKBG
