Chapter Two

Mom was opening the front door.

'Templeton Hall, Christine'.

'It's scary', I told her.

'Rubbish! This is our new home. Don't be difficult, like the last time when you attacked your father...'.

'I saw him with another woman, Mom. What did he do to not love you. It was...terrible. How can you be with him; how can you let him cheat on you?', I asked her.

Mom let us inside with a key.

And the creaking of the door caused me to shiver.
