I was enjoying a nice hot cup of tea when, all of a sudden, my house's door was kicked down. 466Please respect copyright.PENANAagLfInJ0vN
Literally. Out of nowhere, the door came down on the floor with a loud thud, and five people were standing in front of it. A large, burly man had his leg raised. He then put his foot down and ran in, the others following.
"Hey, what are you guys doing?" I asked.
They were all wearing uniforms and rifles. I flinched and backed away, deciding to run, but stopped.466Please respect copyright.PENANAdwA2eK975Z
They were all facing the door. Their backs were to me. And they were... the SWAT team. Of all people that would randomly enter my house, this wasn't what I'd expected.466Please respect copyright.PENANAb1OgdbNzYd
"Uh, h-hello?" I said. "What's going on?"466Please respect copyright.PENANARAu8fRyPTa
"They're almost here," said one of them - a man with short, combed hair.
"Who?" I asked.
They stayed in a fighting stance for quite a while, ignoring my questions.
"Hey, answer me!" I shouted. "Why are you guys here?" This had been probably the tenth time that I'd said that.466Please respect copyright.PENANAg81TYjGmAr
"You should probably hush up and run," said a woman. "This is.... a bit too dangerous for you. We'll handle things, just get out of here."466Please respect copyright.PENANA9Pg6FCeYnZ
Maybe something really dangerous was about to happen. I nodded and ran to the back door. I headed out into the backyard, and then exited through the yard gate. What was happening, I didn't know, but I wasn't staying around to find out. 466Please respect copyright.PENANAwgIRdUsopm
All of a sudden, there was laughter coming from my house. I stopped just as I was about to run along the sidewalk to, well, somewhere safer. The door was still open, and nothing had come in yet. The SWAT team was still there.
I had to run, but at the same time... I had to figure out why they were laughing. I went back to the house.466Please respect copyright.PENANA46mo4Ky00Q
"You actually fell for that?" said the woman, who was on the floor almost crying of laughter.
"Fell for what?" And then it hit me.
"This was all... a prank?"
"We're not even part of the SWAT team!" one of the other men said. 466Please respect copyright.PENANA9Txoz831hj
Heat surged through my chest, and I clenched my fists. "So. You're telling me that you broke down my door, literally detaching it from the hinges, told me to get out of my own house, lied about there being danger, all for... a prank? DO YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU'VE JUST DONE?"466Please respect copyright.PENANAaq1xUGORQY
They all froze. Not laughing now, huh?
"Look, ma'am, we didn't - uh, uh..." 466Please respect copyright.PENANARiYwYivlqQ
"Don't call the police, please!" shouted one of them.
"Too late." I pulled my phone out from my pocket and dialed 911.
Before I knew it, those idiots were gone from my house and with the police after I'd told the cops what had happened. 466Please respect copyright.PENANABJuHLrfVEs
Welp, they got what they deserved.
