Chapter One

When I opened my eyes, I was there.Yes — all the magical beings were there, as if I had left behind the ordinary world, the YKS exam, everything... even the words of that “classic Turkish man.”

My name was Selin.I had black hair and black eyes, and every morning, I went to school.Sometimes I sighed, “Ahhh, I’m so tired of this,” with a bored expression on my face.

And then…One day, a fairy appeared on my bed and said, “You have one wish.”I said, “Yes… I want to make my dream come true.”A dream world — my own world.

Suddenly, my eyes began to burn, and my body started floating… into space.Now I was just like Alice in Wonderland — surrounded by a colorful, magical world full of fantastical beings.

But…In the corner of the trees, someone was watching me.The atmosphere turned dark for a moment… and then faded.

Later, when I arrived at school, angels and demons were talking to each other like it was normal.Inside, there were four people.Ah yes — the characters from the book I read!

Noah, the son of Metatron, holding his powerful staff.Luca, the son of Lucifer Morningstar, the devil himself.Wolfie, the child of an invention.And Jess, the alchemist.

They all looked at me and waved.

Noah leaned coolly against the wall, with a smirk — but a hint of seriousness in his eyes.Luca, the demon, wagged his tail, walked up to me and smiled mischievously.“Well well well… Look who we have here,” he said playfully.Noah nudged Luca’s arm. “Luca, stop it. She’s new here — be nice.”

Noah looked like an angel, with braided hair and glowing skin — but there was something cunning underneath.Luca was a trickster with purple hair and red eyes.He smiled at me with genuine warmth.

Wolfie had green hair.Jess had red — and said, “Yo, what’s up?” while chewing gum.

And I just laughed.

“I can’t believe this… You’re real. I’m actually living my dream.No more YKS exam, no classes, no mock tests… and best of all — no Principal Onur!”

A slight glitch occurred in the air.

“Principal Onur? What’s she talking about?” Luca asked, tilting his head toward Wolfie.

“Wolfie, could you show our new friend around?”

Wolfie pulled out his phone and adjusted his glasses.“Sure, come on, friend,” he said kindly.

He gently took my arm and began to show me around the entire school.The school was absolutely enchanting.

I'm back

"Hey, Doom! What's the big idea? You know you can't just go around blasting things with your fancy new toy, right?" Spider-Man shouted as he landed on the roof.

"Spider-Man! How nice of you to join me! I was hoping you would show up. You see, this is not just a toy. This is my new weapon of terrible mass destruction, powered by the cosmic energy I stole from Galactus himself.

I LOVE JENNA ORTEGA!!!!!

This book is a result of fantastic imaginary of my kids when they were eight and ten year old. They use to incorporate their amazement with people, places and news items in the characters and incidents of their story, but always in a positive way. I always wonder how their so chinese story can be perceived, not so nationalistic and patriotic one. But there they were, starry-eyed kids fantasizing world in their very different way. I hope this global place in their story, touch chord with other children too and nobody is infuriated with a world where Indian, American and Chinese children live in harmony facing other challenges of life, always bracing for each other.
