　　愛這個詞彙於我而言太過抽象，如同我發現家的定義並不只是那幢能夠遮風擋雨的房子以後，就再也沒辦法明確說出什麼是家一般，我只知道愛是種情感，據說它是溫熱的。可能我親手碰過，在尚未知道什麼是愛的時候，也可能未曾。　　但我猜我是被愛的，證據是書櫃上那些用相框錶起的照片，以及母親壓在箱底的卡片和塗鴉。　　好吧，也或許不是的，每次她抬起我的下巴，或者捧起我的臉時，透過她的眼睛我讀不出溫度，遑論伸手觸弄她愛或不愛的細弦感受冷與熱。　　我不知道。我只讀得出她落在我頰上的掌帶著狂慍過後的餘溫有多熱烈又有多刺痛，那是愛嗎？　　愛都是那樣炙熱又……令人窒息的嗎？　　我因為無可奉告選擇沉默，在關於愛的話題上無可奉告，還真是不幸。
