Mira - It's sad to see you go but I hope you're able to find success with what you choose to write on next! It was amazing having you on here!

julia hope - That's completely understandable! I recently just came back to this site and was surprised by how much it changed, unfortunately not too much for the better. Best of luck to you and your future projects, and I hope whatever you decide to do next will work out for you :)

julia hope - @Jay Ellis, No problem. I get that, I feel as if a lot people are pretty much focused on their own works and not trying to engage with the community. And some of the only engagements I find are unneccessary comments to start online fights. I don't think many serious writers can find much impact here, but I know the few that were still here on this site since you've joined will miss you!

I can tell your stuff deserves more recognition; I remember listening to an audio chapter on YouTube of TBW last year when I was more active. I'm glad you're going to keep working on them. Hope you find great opportunities for that book!

Jay Ellis - Thank you. Yeah, the site isn't really worth being on anymore. Watching a counter tick up doesn't exactly do it for me. I will say that my story "The Bridging World" has gotten far more reads than I thought it would, but what good does that do if there's no engagement? If I charged money, then not engaging is fine. The money is value enough. However, I'm a strong believer in the idea that if you consume something for free and it provides you with enjoyment, then you should pay the creator with a meaningful comment, or at the very least a "like". I posted my writing on this site because I wanted to get feedback on it as I went along. That way, it could be the best it could be before I tried turning it into an audiobook production. I didn't post it so people could get a free ride. That's no different than piracy to me.

Anyway, sorry I ranted at you. This has just been something that's been bothering me for a while now, and I'm finally fed up with it. It doesn't mean I'm going to stop working on my stories. It just means that I'm going to work on them in private from now on, and when they're finished, I'll try to find a way to sell them.

MarkTwain2.0 - I'm so sorry to hear that 😟

The site really has gone downhill. I hope you have amazing success with TBW and anything else you work on!!!

Jay Ellis - Thanks. The site really has devolved into a shell of what it once was when I first started. There's just not any incentive to stay any longer. If my writing was getting some engagement, then I would reconsider, but all I'm getting right now is a bunch of people reading my stuff and not being bothered to even leave a "like". That's not exactly worth it to me. Not with the amount of work and effort I put into it.

I'll still continue to work on my stories, but from now on, I'm going to avoid posting them online for free.

Lamington - I love it!!! So crispy! 🤩

Jay Ellis - Thanks, Lamington! Glad you like it. :)

I won't lie, I've been putting this off for a long time, now. I knew it was going to be a rather hefty undertaking (it's already proving that). However, I felt this story deserved a proper cover image, and now that I have a solution for my female voice actress problem, I felt it was time to make it happen.

The Bridging World is still my baby, but Dangerously Misguided is my second most important project. I just wished I knew if other people were enjoying it or not. Every chapter so far has over 90 reads, but there hasn't been any engagement.

MarkTwain2.0 - Awesome, dude! That's way better than anything I'd be able to do!

Jay Ellis - Thanks, M. I really appreciate that. I haven't done any drawing in a while, so I'm a bit out of practice. However, I just updated the picture with some edits as well as the base colors. I think it looks better now than it did. I wasn't entirely happy with her face originally.
