The stranger, named Cody, had spent hours trapped in this basement, in a foreign room, alone. Malachi and I left him here around noon, going to re-up and grab some food while we waited for Lilliana to get out of school; where one might say I should've been.

Cody filled the first hour or so juggling different ideas around in his mind as to how he could escape. When hitting a wall, registering that he couldn't move from his tied up position...his thoughts shifted. 'Surely someone would come save me;' he said to himself repeatedly. If he didn't stay positive, he'd have to come to accept death. It's torture really; having faith that the next person to walk through that door will be someone to save him. I'm sure it sucked to see Malachi's shit eating grin on the other side of it.

"He's a talker." I motion towards Cody who is writhing in his seat, like he'll soon magically break free. "The tape was as necessary as the chains."

"That men would be more prideful, not wanting to seem weak under the power of another man...yeah...it's not like that."

Lilliana returns her gaze to Cody. There's an ever so slight look of worry, but I don't believe it's because of him; it's more so her involvement in what we're about to do to him. She then looks at the knife hanging down by my hip before raising her eyes up to mine.

A silence falls upon the room. The only sound we can hear is Cory's heavy breathing, who is more than likely wishing we'd shut the fuck up and kill him at this point.

She then glances over at Malachi as if asking for backup. He uncaringly gets comfortable on the bed, folding his arms behind his head and giving Lilliana a grin.

"Well if I knew that then we wouldn't be here, Lili." I chuckle, stopping her directly behind Cody who's huffing and puffing with such exaggeration. I guide her by her waist to face him, back facing me, stuck in between us. "Like you said...it's been a very hard few days without me around to take care of all your issues." She shoots me a glare from over her shoulder, making me smile. "Now that I'm here, Lilliana...let me fix them for you."
