I hated that I had to leave Raine in our room by herself but I had to get work done and find out how that wolf got into my pack house and onto my territory to try to kidnap Raine. I need to know who they are, how they know wingers and if they can tell me where the coward is hiding. I called five other Alphas to see if they had any issues with trespassers but no such luck yet. I check the time and realise that I’ve been working for about three hours, three hours and I’m no closer to finding out how my mate was almost taken from me while I was in the shower. The only way for them to get into the territory was if they had inside help. As much as I’d like to trust my entire pack I cannot be too careful. I’ll start by speaking to all the men on patrol that day, Individually. I make a call to my Gamma who is in charge of training the wolves and the guard rotation.
“Derek, I need the guard rota from yesterday asap.” I say as he answers the phone.
“Give me 5 minutes and I’ll bring it over” Derek says and hangs up the phone.
While I waited for Derek to bring me the rota I thought I would check in with Lyam to see how Raine is doing. I link Lyam as he is close by.

“Lyam, How is Raine?” I ask
“She’s fine, just been to see her, she wanted music on in the background to drown out the silence and she took her pills and drank her water. But she does have one request” Lyam says

“She wants a kitten” Lyam blurts out
“And have you got her one?” I ask, my eyebrow still cocked.
“Fuck no, I just left the room and I thought it would be nice if you could take it to her. You know seeing as you are her mate” Lyam sassed back
“Okay, I will take it to her but can you find me one, take my card and go buy one and all the stuff she will need for a kitten, I will check on her in an hour.” I asked Lyam, hopeful I wouldn’t get a groan in response.

I laughed at him, I looked back down at the papers sprawled across my desk, most of them had terrible almost illegible notes scribbled across them. I should really sort all of this out before Derek gets here with the rota’s. I sort my desk into more organised piles of notes and scribbled post its, just so i have the space to look at the rotas to find out how the wolf got into my pack house before being detected. Just as I finish cleaning up there's a knock on my office door.
‘Come’ I say, the door opens and Derek walks in holding a folder.
‘Here you are alpha, the rotas for the full guard day and night shift, I brought them going back a week just in case you needed them’ Derek says handing me the folder.
“Thank you Derek, can you tell me now if anyone hasn’t turned up for guard duties or has been of concern?” I ask raising my eyebrow hoping he could give me an answer
“I typed up a list of people who have been missing shifts and who have been reported for strange behaviour or misconduct. It’s the first page you get to when you open the folder” Derek replies

“Thank you Derek, I’ll be in touch if I need any more information.” I nod at him and sit down to read the folder
“Thank you alpha” Derek bows and leaves, closing the office door behind him.

Mr Delliso engaged in a non-training fight with a guard supervising his duties, the guard involved had minor injuries which were treated at hospital. Mr Delliso has been placed into a cell overnight and will resume extra shifts and training for the next three weeks. 20/04/2020
Numerous reports have been made against Mr Delliso regarding his conduct and how he deals with potential trespassers including humans. He has been described as violent and almost beast-like towards humans. Main risk assessment has determined that he is a security risk towards the secret of the werewolf race. Right so he is the first person I speak to. As I’m closing his file another knock comes at my door.
“Come”
“Yo I came to get your card to get Luna Raine a kitten” Lyam comes in walking like he’s shit his pants.
“Dude have you shit yourself?” I ask

“No, it's my gangsta walk! Don’t you like it?” Lyam says, opening his arms wide to emphasise his walk.
“No you look like a twat who’s shit himself, walk normally” I snort back
“Ugh lame” Lyam shrugs
“Now only buy stuff you think Raine will need for the kitten and get her two maybe, there’s no limit to what you spend but if I find out you spent any on yourself you’ll reimburse me with a 20% added fee for using my card, understood?” I say in a gruff voice.
“Yeah yeah I got it, two kittens and all the supplies she and the kittens need” Lyam told his eyes at me while taking the card.
“By the way, it's almost been an hour. You'll need to go check on her. I’ll leave now seeing as it’s almost 2pm” Lyam waves at me and leaves.
I look at the piles of folders and decide I should take a break and see Raine. I stand up and walk to the door, ensuring I lock the office door. After I leave I walk towards our room. I’m Halfway there and I can already smell her scent. It calms me like nothing else but it also arouses me. I focus on walking to the bedroom.
I slowly open the door to the dark room, the soft sound of music is playing in the background. I can see the soft glow of the sunlight trying to break out from behind the blinds but it doesn't quite make it. I can see Raine’s silhouette laying on the bed, as I move closer to her I can see that she is fast asleep , lightly snoring. I never noticed that she snored before, it’s actually cute. I sit on her side of the bed and just watch her as she sleeps. Taking in all of her features, how her eyebrows are slightly furrowed, how she sleeps with booths hands under her face and her knees bent up to her chest.
I slowly move closer to her so I can touch her face, as myhand gently caresses her face a small smile starts to encase her face, a beautiful, sweet smile. Raine starts to stur in her sleep, a small yawn passing her lips, I move so she can stretch out her body.
“Damon? I thought you were working?” Raine says confused
“I am little wolf, I just came to see if you were okay, I missed you as well.” I smile back at her.
