Damon POV
I laid with Raine until she was sound asleep, her breathing slowed to the beat of her heart. I got out of bed to see if Lyam had come home with Raine’s kitten. It sounds strange, a werewolf having a kitten. In reality it's very normal, everyone in the town has a pet of their own.
Some pack members have rabbits, some own dogs, we are more like normal people than we are werewolves. I always find it amusing when I see a wolf and a dog on a walk playing like they are one of the same.
Lyam hadn’t come back yet but I wasn’t really bothered as long as he came back with my card and Raines kittens, sometimes the guy was a handful but he is a great beta. I decide to go back to the office to go through some more of the guard files, I already had to speak with one wolf I’ll need to see who else pops up.
As I make my way to the office I see a few pack members wandering the halls, many of them nod in respect, others just say, Alpha. The bog standard of pack life really, having a really big pack has its advantages, we have many thriving businesses which means plenty of jobs for pack members.
I reach my office and get to work, scanning all the files to see if I can find any suspicious wolves, but apart from the few mild fights between wolves there wasn't anyone else with a discipline issue. I quickly link Derek so I can see if there is any further information on Adam Delliso.

Derek leads us both out of the office towards the indoor training arena behind the pack house. The gym area has an obstacle course that even the top marine wouldn't be able to complete without their body breaking. I see that Mr Delliso is at the start of the course, looking like he's already done a few rounds. He starts a watch and sets off. Pushing himself across the mountain of different obstacles that only get harder the further you get. Think of the course as something only a soldier would complete but like 100 times harder. That's what I subject my wolves to, it makes them faster and stronger than they could even imagine they'd be without it.
As Mr Delliso gets to the end of the course and he stops the watch we approach him.

“What was your time?” Derek asks
Delliso turns around with a snap, looks at Derek and then sees me, his back becomes straight, hands to his sides at attention.

I can see the fear in his eyes when I am standing in front of him, his heart rate has picked up since seeing me standing here. I step closer to him.

“Yes alpha” Delliso says, he turns on his heel and starts the clock again and sets off, running and jumping the course in his human form. He seems to be slowing down at the end which shows me he is using too much energy at the beginning which is causing him to slow at the end, thus making him go over the 1 minute mark. As he comes to the end I stop the clock for him.

I link the maid to have someone clean my bed and ask for some warm clothes for Raine. I carry her to the bathroom to help her shower. I don't undress myself, just her.
