Here's an old one I found kicking about recently. I was messing about with using the same words over and over, I quite like it but it's not the best.

"Poker Face"

Your eyes smile when you try to make a poker face,

Your cards will put me in my place,

I can see you think this by your face,

but here, I haven't a place

and now I've thought that, there's sadness on my face.

You take it as a chance to achieve your place

among the winners, I want to laugh in your face

but I must remember my place.

You lay down each card, pride on your face,

then I place mine down and you look like you'd rather be anyplace

except here, It's written clearly across your face.

Now I've found my place

and you're scared to show your face

so you've found a different place

to shield your face

to protect your pride.
