Entrances were dark sometimes tight corridors and caves with ridiculous number of creatures and were obviously taken if it was exceptionally necessary or as a last resort.

Clearings were spacy parts of the pit which had a huge advantage, the light of the sun was able to reach. In order to survive you would have to stay the furthest amount on time in these sections.

The only down side was that when the night falls or the creatures come out of the caves and wonder around freely. The best course of action in these kind of situation was to find a hiding place and lower your heart rate so that they wouldn't sense your presence.

Eleonad walked for exactly 2 hours until he neared 2 pathways. In the right pathway he was able to determine that it had no air circulation after at least 150 m.

From the left pathway came a strong breeze of cold air and had monster tracks alongside the entrance. Monster tracks often consisted of human remains, blood, scratches, huge nests etc.

He passed into the left one and arrived to the first Clearing in which he had to meditate and lay low for at least 10 hours until daylight provided passage. If he moved he risked of being a target of nearby monsters so he stayed in place until morning.

Finally he arrived at his first monster nest. This one was consisted of Giant Spiders. The only way to kill them was by conflicting huge amounts of damage to the body or decapitation.

These kind of spiders weren't any different from the normal one's but of course they varied from anywhere to 3-10 meters long. Their food consisted of large animals, birds and even humans.

He got his sword ready on the right hand and on the other he had a metal glove with spikes along the fingers which was used to perform extra damage.

The first spider was a 2 meter one, he could easily catch it off guard and cut his head right of with his sword and that's exactly what happened. But this was not going to work with the other bigger spiders.

The bigger ones had thicker and harder exoskeletons and it had to be weakened first before dealing the killing strike. The other spiders were alarmed by the sudden extermination of one of their kind and begun to attack Eleonad.

First a 4 meter spider with big fangs like claws tried to bite the lower part of his leg and another 3 meter one tried to bite out his arm. But he quickly got out of the way inflicting massive damage to the 3 meter spider cutting out 2 of its legs and doing a jump flick dodging the 4 meter one.

Because of this action the bigger spider accidentally stuck his fangs to the other damaged smaller spider. Like all spiders they had the ability to inject venom on their prey quickly killing them so they could devour their prey easier.

Even so they were immune to their own specific venom, so in order to create an antidote you had to kill the spider who bit you and inject their hemolymph to the blood stream, because of this a spider wasn't immune to a other's venom.

Fortunately the 3 meter one had taken a enormous bite to the sternum making it immobilized.

The fangs of the 4 meter spider were stuck to the thick exoskeleton of the spider that it had bit and Eleonad wasn't to take this opening for granted.

A 10 meter spider appeared. It's fangs were at least 1.5 meters long and 1 meter thick. The exoskeleton was at least 5 times thicker and stronger, so if he was able to land an attack it would probably break his sword. Most of the 10 meter spider web's were toxic, if it would touch living tissue it would instantly burn it off.

Eleonad was strong but he knew when to back out of a fight. The only way to escape without being seen was to wait out for the spider to look for another hunting place.

His food and water stock was depleting and he had to find the quickest way to get out. First he had to find a water supply.

The solution was simple he had to find vegetation (trees, plants etc) and he had to dig a few feet in the ground to find running water. Of course after extracting the water he had to purify it. You could do that by setting a fire. After setting the fire you'd have to boil the water until it had rolling bubbles. Then after letting it to cool you have drinkable and purified water.

That's exactly what he did after finding a small garden of plants. The amount of water that he gathered was tiny but it had to do for the remainder of the trip.
