If mythical creatures only exist in folklore, are they truly fictional? Or just kept under very tight wraps?
Hazel Adams is a timid high school student who spends all her time hiding from people and reading about Japanese urban legends. Those tales are far more interesting than her boring life, after all.
But monsters don't just live in stories.
Not only are these creatures very real, but a secret society of wizards also monitors and polices supernatural activity all around the world. To make matters worse, they just accidentally let four Japanese monsters- also known as Yokai- loose in Hazel's city.
Now, Hazel must work alongside these wizards to track them down before the unleashed Yokai threaten the balance between the natural and supernatural worlds.
Hello, and welcome to the book of Yokai's! Where I will be telling you stories from Japanese folklore! Although before we start, I want to tell you a few things;
1: It won't be in alphabetical order! I know that I can do that, but I'm just kinda too l a z y - Although I might do it one day.
2: There might be a few triggering topics in some stories!
And I think that's all for now! Alright, now that it's all set, we can now continue with the book
(I'll put the credit here as well! The cover image is by Flying-Fox on Deviantart! And the source of all the stories of the folklore stuff and images I got is from a place called "Yokai.com". Although if you do want to know the creator of the website, you can find them on Twitter; "The Yokai Guy"! If anything in the stories triggers you, please don't feel the need to continue at all!)
