The full moon is your guide

To the city you own,

By your dancing and prancing in the silent night.

Your pitter-pattering on the roof,

Scouring the skyline for pleasure.

Your driving force

Is the wax and wane;

The phases of a constantly evolving light.

The pitter-pattering of a ghost,

Stalking the passer-by’s below.

.

Before the morning comes

To steal you away,

You skulk away from sight.

Your pitter-pattering once galore,

Is now replaced by morning melodies.
