Sometimes you just have to drive somewhere,

Anywhere just to try and get your head clear.

Even if it means you have to drive away from those you hold dear.

Feeling your thoughts align,

Keeping your focus on the road's solid line.

.

Sometimes you just need to fill your lungs with smoke,

Give your head a different kind of spin.

To get the weight off your shoulders when you feel like you can't win.

Feeling your head rush from something other than stress,

For those times when you couldn't care less.

.

Sometimes you just need to get away,

Far away so you can get enough fresh air.

To be able to breath again and not have to care.

To have that feeling again of relief,

To be able to breath away the tears and grief.

.

Sometimes you just need to take the first step,

To keep on running until your fears are no more.

To run until your feet can't move to find out what's in store.

To gasp out of exertion and not panic,

To feel your heart race from the pace that was static.

.

Sometimes you just need to let things go,

To take on the pain and give it up but not hold on.

Trying to find that bit of hope through it all to keep you strong.

It's not always easy to put aside your pride,

But sometimes you just have to take life in your stride.
