"Find your dad."
The Line kept ringing in my head over and over again.
"Find your dad" What the heck, why now, why now.
My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of my mom coming in, I quickly stuffed the letter in my pocket.
"Hey, honey! What are you doing?" Her voice sounded cheery but my brain was spiraling I am still in hopes you will see this before your mother. Was she throwing away the letters? Why would I need to find it before her? Was this why she had been acting weird lately?
"Are you okay Honey?" My Mom was frowning her dark blonde eyebrows at me and her blue eyes were worried with a sense of something else hidden. What is she hiding?
"Yes, I'm just really tired and I...Um...I came out here" I said, I could swear she heard the uneasiness in my voice I just hope she doesn't think too much about it.
"You need to work on your stuttering and nervousness; you do it too often, Daisy Mae." Daisy Mae was her nickname for me, that she had called me as a child.
"I know, I should head to bed now, Landon is coming over tomorrow so I want to make sure I'm well rested. Goodnight, Mom" I placed a soft kiss on her cheek and hugged her goodnight.
"Goodnight, Daisy Mae." She said in her soft voice, her blue eyes were gentle and sweet now has she let go of my embrace.
I got ready for bed and headed back to my bedroom, I essentially plopped onto my bed and knocked out fast surprisingly.
"DAISY MAE WAKE UP LANDON IS HERE," The sounds of my mother screaming at me jolted me awake.
"Yeah, Daisy Mae wake up sleeping head." That was Landon.
"UGH GO AWAY," I said, covering myself with my bedsheets. Ugh. I heard the door fling open and the sound of Landon's annoying voice.
"GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE, you sleep well?" He was way too loud, way too early.
"I was until you showed up."
"Aw, aren't you sweet?"
"Yes, I'm so sweet now leave me alone."
"You do this every time Ms. Daisy." He grabbed my sheets and pulled them off of me.
"UGH YOU LITTLE."
"Calm down Mase, I brought a peace offering." He looked at me with those green eyes and batted them.
"What did you bring?" I said kind of groggy and annoyed
"A little something for your room." He then pulled out a Beatles vinyl, their number 1 album to be exact.
"I know how much you like The Beatles and your favorite song The Ballad of John and Yoko is in it so yeah your Best friend got it for you being you know the Best friend ever." He said all of this smiling so and throwing his hands all silly at me.
I immediately suffocated him in a hug of course. He screamed a little but he was fine.
"Ah, I love you so much!" I gave him a big kiss on the cheek and stared at the lovely vinyl for a while.
"Uh hey. Daisy Mae?"
"Mm, Yeah?" I said turning my head back at him.
"I love that you're enjoying your gift so much and yes you look adorable in your pjs but don't you think that maybe you should start getting ready?" He said chuckling a little.
"OH SHOOT, umm yeah." I quickly put my vinyl down and ran into my closet grabbing some clothes. I grabbed my flowy sweatpants and a baggy tee and ran to my bathroom. I swiftly came back and Landon was still there looking and laughing at me.
"Ok garbage bag sit we have a lot to talk about.." Did I want to tell him about the letter?
