A slate wiped clean

It's so demanding but I just can't stop

A cackle erupts, bubbling up from my throat

It scratches up my soul and controls my thoughts

But I'm oblivious to them

I just can't stop thinking of the things to be

I've gotten lost in my own thoughts and the only way out

Is a narrow tightrope, but I'm not willing to climb

I'm only willing to jump

Falling into the pit of darkness below me

I'm overcome by feelings of him:

He always ends in heartbreak,

So why can't I just give him up?
