Jay lights up a cigarette and takes a drag as we pass the small boutiques in town. After one pull he opens the window and blows the smoke firmly out of the car cursing himself briefly as I watch him surprised.

Jay holds the door open to the boutique, once we arrive at the dress shop in town. The last time we came here we weren't engaged. Now we are and I fully intend on eyeing up the bridal wear. He catches me looking and chuckles following me over to the lace and the gowns all in white and ivory satin. Ruffles and ruched details, suspender belts and frills.

I grasp his hands and tug him gently over to the dresses. Glancing at a selection of long ivory dresses all of which are stunning in their own way. I imagine what Rach might wear and I know her well enough by now to know that whatever it is it will be short. I dare to think what Kat will wear. And cringe at the thought of her in white. Like an evil white princess I think and begin laughing.

Jay glances over at me with an expression of shock. I shake my head realising that he must think that I'm cracking up because of yesterday. The break in and assault that we haven’t spoken about since. And if I’m one hundred percent honest with myself I am a little, but I must hold it all together. I fully intend on going into university tomorrow, Jay just isn't aware of that yet.

I take in the dress he's admiring for me and even though it's not something I would pick for myself I fall for it.

A shimmering ivory high neck dress with a low cut v back. It trails to the floor, cut close to the body to accentuate every curve. Jay Gilbert Scott has stunning taste in clothes and it is double the price of the one I am holding.

After trying on my own choice, twice and the gown that he had picked out three times I decide upon his choice. Quickly taking it off of my body so as to surprise him on the night. I pace over to the counter and the hound female clerk outs through the items carefully placing them on a large bag, my white lingerie placed into silk bags as Jay saunters over to us with a new white shirt, it will look amazing on him. The lady behind the till stares at him for a while forgetting herself entirely. I can't blame her. He has a way about him. Tall, handsome and self assured. Rugged blonde hair, light tan and blue eyes. His sleeves are rolled up showing off his muscular toned arms.

His arms find my waist and the shop clerk averts her eyes. It astounds me that he's mine, all mine and that he wants me just as much as I want him. I look up at him smiling briefly and remind myself of when we first met. The first ever time. My opinion of him has changed entirely through the years of knowing him.

I remember myself with Matthew in his small front room in front of the fire and my shock when Matthew's blonde friend, Jay, walked into the room. Denial was my first go to. After a spot of lunch at an Italian bistro where he insists that I have a dessert we arrive back at the car and I stare over at him. Remembering all of the moments we stole just to be together. Just to hold each other or even just to talk. I had never felt more alive in my life than when he touched me for the first time. When he stole my kisses and held me in his arms as if I were his own.
